The Smell Of Rosa Parks Blvd In The Morning: TNDP Opens “Victory ‘08″ Headquarters

The Tennessee Democratic Party executed a soft launch for their new “Victory ‘08″ office this past Saturday.

Officially, Victory ‘08 is, according to Democratic Party spokesman Wade Munday, “a coordinated effort between the Tennessee Democratic Party and the Obama campaign to ensure that our volunteers are organized to get out the vote.”

Unofficially, of course, the office, located at 907 Rosa Parks Ave, serves as the defacto Obama headquarters in Nashville.

Running the office, in conjunction with Obama Organizer Jennifer Buck Wallace, will be TNDP Field Director Nick Wells, an experienced professional grassroots organizer.

Wells previously served Program Manager for Marketing and Special Events for Pioneer Square Community Association as well Field Manager and Campaign Coordinator for Fund for Public Interest Research. He is also a past President of Vanderbilt’s Lambda student organization.

Wells will be assisted by David Rutledge, formerly of the Mike Padgett for Senate campaign, as well as Brennan McMahon and Ashford Hughes among others.
