Timing Is Everything

It would appear that Mike Faulk’s big TV buy for his state Senate race comes on the same day as some unflattering allegations about him hit the papers. Interesting:

The ad purchase of nearly $75,000 makes Mike Faulk the first of the state senate candidates to be on television in the 2008 election cycle.  The ad campaign is promised as a first installment of paid media planned by the Republican candidate in the 4th State Senate District covering Claiborne, Grainger, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson and Union counties.

From the press release:

“Starting tomorrow, watch any local channel in the state and you will see an ad explaining who I am, and I what some my goals are.” Eaton said.” I want every voter in this state to know they have another option. One that represents all of our views. I’m a Moderate Democrat, with a strong belief in bi-partisanship. When I’m in the senate, you won’t have to worry about the same old bickering back and forth. I’m going there to represent your needs, and I’ll work with either party to get results.”
