Joe Says It’s So
Posted on September 3, 2008 at 5:53 amJohn McCain’s Democratic consiglierie says America needs a wartime president:
“Especially at a time of war, we need a president we can count on to fight for what’s right for our country — not only when it is easy, but when it is hard,” Lieberman said in remarks prepared for delivery to the Republican National Convention.

Why McCain Will Not Pick Lieberman
Posted on August 28, 2008 at 11:57 amBecause the rules forbid it:
The major thing standing in the way of a Lieberman Vice-Presidential pick for McCain is a seemingly small thing - an RNC rule that states that a Vice Presidential nominee must have been a Republican for at least 60 days prior to nomination.
There are only two ways around that rule as far as I know - the first being that Lieberman has already switched his party affiliation a couple months ago secretly without letting anybody know (highly, highly, highly unlikely). The other option would be for the delegates to vote to waive that rule at the RNC — and it’s not hard to imagine how that would go.
The Abused Becomes The Abuser
Posted on August 13, 2008 at 8:13 amThe Huffington Post accuses Joe Lieberman of using an antisemitic template to attack Barack Obama:
What is to be made of this? Does Joe Lieberman not realize that he is using one of the oldest anti-semitic tricks in the book to accuse Obama of being the Islamic candidate?
Obama More Popular With Jews Than Lieberman
Posted on July 22, 2008 at 8:31 amFrom the Huffington Post:
If Barack Obama has a problem among Jewish voters, then Sen. Joseph Lieberman is in monumental trouble.
Among the most high-profile Jews in Congress, Lieberman is viewed far more unfavorably than the presumptive Democratic nominee, according to a new poll. Only 37 percent of Jews view the Connecticut Independent in a favorable light compared to 48 percent who have a negative perception. As for Obama, 60 percent of Jews view him favorably while 34 percent view him unfavorably.
The findings were released as part of a recent survey of American Jews by the new progressive pro-Israel group J Street. They seem to upturn some of this year’s conventional political wisdom.
