Jim Kyle wants to be Phil Bredesen:

“I personally have sponsored each bill for the governor, managed all of his budgets. That gives me an insight into the executive branch by working so closely with the governor. I’ve also seen how policy is created. This bodes well for my being governor,” Kyle said.

Kyle was interviewed by phone in Nashville on Friday after speaking Tuesday night to the newly reorganized 6th District Knox County Democrats, meeting at Karns Middle School. He said it was the third time he’d campaigned in Knoxville in the last 10 days and that he planned to return often.

“For Democrats to run well in East Tennessee, they have to do (campaign) just as Bredesen did,” Kyle said.
