From what I hear, it’s going to be outrageously expensive. That’s just what I’m hearing, though.

From what I can see, a “convention ticket” costs $565 a pop.

So, is this a third party convention? Is it like the CPAC convention? Where is the money going?

Now let me get this straight.

All these tea partiers believe in more accountability and more openess, and their eye candy, potential presidential candidate Palin won’t allow the media to cover it?

Yep. That tells you all you need to know.

When will she state the truth about the Down’s Syndrome child?

I will gladly hold signs in the freezing cold and yell until my throat hurts just so that she knows it’s not just the “liberal gotcha media” that despises her and what she actually stands for (not what she pretends to stand for).

Well, now the latest issue of ‘The New Republic’ has turned up to be ‘the Obama edition’, and I’m glad. I have admired this mag for addressing the avant-guard issues and the specific writers for the officials in focus and for quoting sources and that i really wanted to talk about; now our great President. The only lack seems to be a proper addresss for me to copy to at TNR; each seems to be a loaded die or slippery slope, maybe even a red herring.

From the cover, Jon Chait asks ‘Does he still have the people’? Noam Scheiber inquires ‘Has he found manufacturings savior’? A Mr Leon Weistler offers an insight into Barack’s ‘comparative politics’ in light of the history of the Cold War, as in Capitalisn v Communism.

I claim not to have even perused the pertinent information, only an offer of my own synopsis to add to the pile.

President Barack H Obama ‘does’ still have the will of ‘the people’ and surely the authority to use that persuasive effort. Any lack he has in experience and expertise he is at large to call upon experts and titans of industry. i beleive the country is exceedingly better off from a ‘legal-danger’ standpoint, at home and abroad. Some of these ‘world-summits’ as he has graciously consulted and attended have been somewhat to avert world war and world economic colapse, as with foreign animosity toward the Corruption of the United States financial wizards and the previous executive administration. He has saved some confidence in our home currency even if the activated monetary-fiscal policy has caused real inflation.

With regard to policy for ’saving’ our banking industry and our currency they have cracked down on some offensive recipients of federal bailout funds. Some disbursements now include payments of principle ‘in stock’ to some of the institutions and the principals. Though this is unpopular with the crooks it makes sense toward solvency.

Just my opinion. Keep up the good work Barry.

IMO they are missing an oportunity by not telivising it, or at least her speech, or put it on radio.

We don’t need anyone else that operates behind closed doors.

It can’t be a movement if people don’t know what is going on and trust those that proclaim themselves as leaders.

In light of the position they are taking I hope she is charging them for the speech they don’t deserve a freebe.

It truly amazes me how some people will stir up emotions with inflammatory opinions and provide no supporting facts, common sense, or logical thinking. The media has slammed Palin in the past. Why in the world would she want the press there? If a guest at your party insults you, would you invite him back? She’s just letting the press know who’s in charge.

Tn V 73 …hahahahaha to quote the palination ,,,I call it like I see it…..

hey what about bush’s decision to leave Afgan for Iraq ? talk to me about bush/cheney blowing through a SURPLUS of the CLINTON yrs hahahaha Talk to me about bush saying “bin laden doesn’t matter” Talk to me about some Mission that was a victory ? Talk to me about a bush/cheney tax cut for the very rich that drove this in an almost Depression and thankfully we got a Man in the Oval Office who is smart and pulled us up above the level of a depression and who honestly stated we are going to have a very hard time before its over. Talk to me about an invasion of Iraq that was never given the OK to strike by Congress. I’m thankful that Our President has taken his time to make a hard decision on a war that even Russia said ,could destroy us ,it did them and it wasn’t Regean that destroy Russia it was the Taliban and while I;m on the Taliban, why did bush have them in the oval office in 2001? talk to me about Billions of dollars that every Republican voted yes too and we were beaten up with guilt of Support the Troops and Support The president ,wow! I swear you Republicans either have a sloooow memory or you come hardwired that way.

As for Palin , wow,I”m just learning from Glen Beck and Rush limbaugh on how to address women in politics and Palin herself .I just call it like I see it… usually when men act like your acting there’s some truth some place….

How has Plaination address Katy Couric ? I want to interview her and see if she has learned anything about Alaska? How snarkly is that and derespectable?

What do you read? oh everthing… no NewsMax is my read fool… anyone who reads that toliet paper deserves to get smacked down and as for her book, its a no read.. xlg print to take up space and non sensible language.I actually asked women in Publix yesterday if they wanted to buy a copy and the look and answer I got was very telling. I asked a man of about 45 yrs and he looked at me and said NO and this man was a republican. Very telling .

One last question, when was 9-11-01 did that happen under the Republican Party watch? Was there a Republican President in Office? Was there Text messages aluding to something going on? was there a PD Briefing that got the trash can a few months before because some Pres wanted to play golf?

Pres.Obama is Moping up and you guys just can’t stand his ability to do so !

I once voted for a different Barry - (Goldwater)!
Those who wish the world simple with America always wearing the white hat find it difficult to evolve and seem only able to vilify those who have evolved for the better. Little did I realize when I voted for Goldwater just what an atrocious idea was his statement that “extremism in the pursuit of liberty is no vice”.

Those who are into the name calling “‘muslims’/socialists/communists” might just do well state what it is you wish to have done to make this country better and avoid the language of extremism.

pat csh did make some good points! I wonder what the
result would have been had they been the “Palin years” rather that the “Bush years”. I anguish over the reality of the Bush years and shudder at there ever being Palin years.

We at least now have a person of intelligence in the oval office who is attempting to problem solve. Lets just hope that there will be a collective wisdom that rises in Congress to get at some “Made in USA” solutions to the many complex issues that face us.

For those you don’t support the President of the United States …

Bailout was Former President George w Bush’s idea along with Henry Paulson ,both said together that noone was to ask any questions ,No Committee was to probe ,No one was to see any contracts . The Total Package was to be $787 Billion (to many “O”’s,going Rogue on you all) That was September 2009 I believe.

Former PresidentBush announced he was Nationalizing the Banking Industry. That should’nt bother any of you Republicans and TEA B’s ,it was under your watch!

Sen. John Mc Cain came out in support of it(bailout) into washington D.C. saying he was going to overseethe meetings. Sarah Palin also came out in Vocal Support of the Republican Bailout.(you won’t find it in her book)

President Obama and VP Biden came out in support of it with Pres Obama not wanting to leave the trail but Sen Mc Cain insisted that everyone meet in Washington and Former Pres. Bush wasn’t too happy about either being there since it was still his watch.

I really like the way Republican work over time to bury the History ofwhat happens on their watch ,its like the American people are really stupid and we can spoon feed them any lie we want and they will swallow it and say give me more . News Flash! Lots more American are Plugged into reality and we’re fighting back no more Karl roves,Bush’s or Cheney’s to keep telling lies until people start second guessing themselves.(what is that called?)

As for anyone carrying a gUn into the Palination Tea waggle ,its legal! The NRA might get peeved at Republicans for taking away a person right to carry a weapon into a Venue. Lots ofpeople carried guns into Pres. Obama town halls and other Democratic Senators and Congress people town halls ,we did nothing ,we allowed them to have their 2nd admend rights so are you TEA B’s and Republicans saying that Americans arent to own Guns and your Taking them away.arresting Gun owners , Great quote it will look on in 2010, thank you very much!

Stupid is quote , Yep your on target Palin is stuipid and needs real help. Please get her to a good doctor ,think she has many different personalities .Read parts of her book again today I shook my head ,it was like how many people wrote this thing? There are lots weird stuff between thos covers. A man and his son asked me about the book today and how I felt about it. I said, 4th grade level writing . Xlg print simple words , voice overs , no facts ,trivial , mundane . Buy this other book it is much better Creighton new work good. Bush also like Crieghton he actually read his work ,amazing to know that.

Issues , ummm Sarah doesn’t know policy ,just smears and snarks . She didn’t like Katy Couric because as I read it ,she was afraid that Katy Couric would expose her shallowness.

Now Republicans answer me on who’s watch did 9=11-01 happen and why didn’t Bush and rummy say to not take out bin laden in Tora Bora? There’s a millions issues and policy questionsI need amswered, since you all are the RNC (still smaller than palin’s in her book) answer all those questions ,starting with the bailout. thank you. good hobnobbing with Republican elite and Sarah ham it up for the camera’s in Washington State just before she bailed on a simple 5k race…….

    The quitter ..

Quit 4 colleges before she found one easy enough to finish.

Never cook a Thanksgiving dinner (its something my mother/aunts/sisters do) I just show up with my kid shields and silent drooling hubby in tow. “you betcha’

Quit being eithical and became the good ole girl while mayor of Wasilla. Threw the small community into Bankruptcy with a hockey stadium and still is being ingvestative over lands deals that her family andbiz friedns proffited from.

Quit being the Gov of a State that recieves Federal Dollars for every alaskan, now that some welfare.
She quit because A she got bored it was was mundane work ,her words not mine.
    B. needing to be in the lime light was a needed draw as she is a compulsive personality ,gotta have body guards like Pres.Obama because I’m really the President just nobody knows it ,undercover.

    C. had to write a backbiting book to settle old score with Sen John McCain after she called him a war hero.

    D. I really love the media but by playing the Victim I can make more dollars for Sarah Pac and tell the soldiers at Ft Bragg to donate to Sarah pac and buy my book.(newsmax has it for 4.98)

Sarah quit a 5k race because she was interfering with the race .this one is too funny as she set it up that way to pull in her fans and gawkers as she needs the media attention. Sarah, thank you for the interview ,no we having quiznos ,not doing a turkey “Its too Much Trouble” the govership was too much trouble also as it was to mundane ,not enough media attention up there.

Sarah quit her fans in the cold and rain in Noblesville Indiana .I know Noblesville and its not rich enough for her so she quit it ,was it to mundane for you also Sarah.

You won’t find Noblesville on her Facebook or Twitter no mention of it and to be a bareface liar of I didn’t “know we left anyone behind”

That is the Tea B’s sarah Palin .Leaving unfinished business behind but then again the Bush Administration left Bin laden behind at Tora Bora and his famous slogan Wanted Dead or alive .That is the way real Republicans are .Leaving people behind and just qitting . 45000 Americans are left behind annually because of no health insurance .TheseAmericans are dead and can’t defend themselves from the Sarah Palins of the Republican Party .

Attention all liberals… I mean, “socialists”:

Let’s all use this occasion to celebrate capitalism by buying a ticket to this event, then celebrate our First Amendment rights to express our opinions of Mrs. Palin, and then express our Second Amendment rights by carrying our lawfully-registered firearms into the event. tv73 AND OTHER PALINATIONISTA’S

Your Ms Palin has decieved you people yet again, she is a throny fraudster. She isn’t traveling the country promoting her 4th grade level book of raw lies, she is traveling in a private jet.ohhh I hear ya’ll now its ok for her to be doing that ,we don’t have to know if our purpose driven diva is really about,we just follow the herd.

Sarah Palin’s “Going Rogue” bus has logged thousands of miles as it crosses the country, promoting her memoir. But Palin herself has been traveling by private jet, using the bus only for brief stops and media appearances.

The blog Palingates was the first to highlight the disconnect, pointing out that Palin arrived in Tri-Cities, Washington on Thanksgiving via private jet, not bus. ( then bailed on arace after she ginned it up pc)

The flight log for the plane, a Gulfstream II, can be found here — it tracks Palin’s own movements. The Daily Beast’s Joe McGinniss reported that Palin’s staff apparently was riding the bus while their boss took to the skies:

Last week I was in The Villages, the fantastical Back to the Future-style retirement enclave north of Orlando, when Palin popped out the front door of the bus to greet the thousand or so worshipers gathered outside Barnes & Noble. I thought she sure looked good for someone who had been riding a bus for a week, changing diapers–as she said–all the way. Publicist Andreadis, by contrast, had the worn and harried look of someone who had been earning an honest living by riding a bus for a week. [...]

What’s wrong in this instance is the apparent fakery created and sustained for the sake of building pseudo-populist appeal–and selling books. Sarah Palin and HarperCollins have consciously tried to give the impression that she is doing her book tour by bus when the evidence suggests she is not. At every stop, she’s been filmed getting off Big Blue looking rested and radiant. She dazzles onlookers and interviewers with her seemingly bottomless reserves of energy. And no one suspects she may secretly be hopping on and off her main means of transport, UJT750, and resting up in hotels.

There is so much written here which reminds me why I hate politics.
I am just going to say a few things.

    1. Conservatives are NOT ignorant gun toting rednecks who support Palin just because she says “you betcha”.

    2. Liberals are NOT socialist extremists who want to dismantle capitalism and have government run every aspect of our lives.

    3. You are not the smartest person in the world, and the person who are arguing with is not an idiot.

    4. Your side is not “in the right” not matter what side your on. There is honestly no correct side, the side you choose is just a refection of your values.

    5. You most likely know little to nothing about what you are actually talking about. You know what cable news says, and what politicians say but who is really going to read through all the bills on the floor and watch CSPAN. Even though that’s the job of the news, the news is always a never fully objective.

    P.

The Tea b’s are about to destroy the Republican Party with the help of Sarah Palin. I really wish people who are rabid about her would really dig into who and what she is. Her husband was forced to join the Republican Party ,no he wasn’t an Indy nor a Democrat but a extreme group in Alaska .Sen Mc Cain had to quill that and fast.

You have some good thoughts but this is about the Palins and I for will keep on ,keeping on until some media actually starts to question this Latte/ Red Bull toking woman. Her book is written on a 4th grade level and has been debunked many times .There are still pending matters in Alaska concerning both Palins.

If this was Barack or Michele Obama would local news media be silent and support them ,think not!

We have a great President and I don’t agree with all his policy’s but I respect and support him and support the Troops.

P do you not know the definition of Socialism

    socialism

An economic system in which the production and distribution of goods are controlled substantially by the government rather than by private enterprise, and in which cooperation rather than competition guides economic activity. There are many varieties of socialism. Some socialists tolerate capitalism, as long as the government maintains the dominant influence over the economy; others insist on an abolition of private enterprise. All communists are socialists, but not all socialists are communists.

    pat,

I agree with many things you are saying but still there is no need to be so polarizing. If everything Palin said is untrue she will pass out of the limelight. If what she says has merit then she will stay. You can disagree and be vocal about it but being aggressive is different than being belligerent. Rather than writing off people who believe in her as ignorant, try to understand their ideology then counter it, if they don’t listen then you did your part and that’s all there is too it. If you hate them, they will hate you and no side wins.

    TN,

Yes, the Democratic agenda is to further socialize the US economy. Now I echo my point I made to pat, “You can disagree and be vocal about it but being aggressive is different than being belligerent. Rather than writing off people who believe oppose you as ignorant, try to understand their ideology then counter it, if they don’t listen then you did your part and that’s all there is too it. If you hate them, they will hate you and no side wins.”

You also have to remember that there has always been socialist aspects to US society and policy. Sometimes socializing certain areas of our economy is more sensible than having competition. I don’t think you would argue that it would be better to have private fire and police departments. Socialism is in every capitalist economy and though there are varying degrees i do not believe the Democrat’s agenda is to turn the US into the Soviet Union, or even Sweden. It is illogical to think that anyone in power would want to dismantle one of the largest economic powerhouses of our time.

“Not all Democrats are Socialists… But those that look to Mao for their strength, are.”

And this above, this is what i hate the most. This is pure shock doctrine. The only thing saying this does is to polarize you from anyone who disagrees with you.

the same thing with saying, “Her book is written on a 4th grade level”. I just don’t see the need to either scare or take pot shot’s at people rather than discuss. And if we don’t agree we can still go home at the end of the day and get along with our fellow Americans.

But i am going to take a page from my own book and shut up. Because i am not going to convince any one of anything. I am arguing to a wall just like everyone else and i don’t want to get rowelled up for nothing.

    Everyone have fun.
