Cooper For The People

Representative Jim Cooper (D-TN) today announced the launch of the bipartisan Congressional Savings and Ownership Caucus, along with Rep. Tom Petri (R-WI), Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D-ND) and Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA). The Caucus, organized in each Congress since the 109th, works to explore, debate and advance policies to build savings and assets for all Americans, and low-income Americans in particular.

“I’m proud to announce the reformation of the Savings and Ownership Caucus,” said Cooper. “Generations before us understood the importance of saving, yet we have strayed from that tradition. Now more than ever, saving money and building up assets are critical for our families and for the country.”
