Sarah Palin Loves The Meat

Posted on November 17, 2009 at 11:31 am

Loves it:

“If any vegans came over for dinner, I could whip them up a salad, then explain my philosophy on being a carnivore,” she wrote. “If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

But the former Republican vice presidential candidate did not stop there.

“I love meat,” she writes. “I eat pork chops, thick bacon burgers, and the seared fatty edges of a medium-well-done steak. But I especially love moose and caribou. I always remind people from outside our state that there’s plenty of room for all Alaska’s animals — right next to the mashed potatoes.”

Human beings are made of meat.

Therefore, Sarah Palin is objectively pro-cannibalism.

Only sissy elitists cook their steak any more than medium-rare.

“If God had not intended for us to eat animals, how come He made them out of meat?”

She did not seriously say that…did she? I mean, listen, I loves me some red meat, but come the fuck on, a VP candidate with machinations about being the President of the United States seriously just said that?

What next, “God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve”?

Sean You have a current president that has a Cabenit member that wants to allow your Cow to sue you for damages.

You think the statement that Palin made in jest, to poke at PETA.

But the administration’s advocate for animals right to counsel is not a joke.

Maybe there is more context to the quote, but she whines and moans about being taken seriously by the MSM and then throws out some Kindergartner one-liners to explain her dietary philosophy.

She’s just joking, people. Grow a sense of humor.

This all reminds me of the homeless guy who got arrested for killing and eating a condor, which is on the endangered species list. The judge, upon hearing how he was homeless and unemployed and starving, decided to let him go on his promise not to do it again, and the man agreed and apologized.

As he was leaving the court room, the judge stopped him and asked one more question. “What does condor taste like?”

The man thought for a moment, and answered, “Kind of like spotted owl, only greasier, like baby seal.”

Does Palin realize that pork chops are not on God’s menu? Along with the crab-stuffed salmon.

Between the ‘if God had not…’ crowd and the ‘Elsie the Cow vs McDonalds’ crowd, I grow more and more pessimistic about our future.

    Bill,

With apologies, how do you know?

What has Palin ever said or done that suggests she has the philosophy or the intellectual curiosity needed to be President?

I am tired of people trying to recast her as Ronald Reagan in the Cherly Ladd collection from Target. Reagan was not an anti-intellectual but rather, a thoughtful and well-read individual who saw a mission for himself that grew out of his Ideas. He and Gingrich understood that Ideas need thoughtful and informed leaders to carry them out.

Until Republicans cease making a virtue of this sort of Cincinnatus at the plow myth, we will not regain the intellectual advantage that brought us to power in the 80s and 90s. Remember when we were the party of Ideas? And it was the anti-intellectual approach of DeLay and Bush that brought the Party down.

    Mark Rogers,

Palin Unlike Obama has successfully run an execuitive branch of Government.

Had oversite of balancing a Government Budget

With the line item veto has took said Goverment from Defict to Surplus plus gave tax cuts to the citizens of her state.

Maybe we need to stop looking at what people say they will do, but what they HAVE ACCTUALLY DONE.

  14. November 17th, 2009 1:07 pm

Sarah Palin instituted a windfall profits tax on oil companies which increased government revenues the first couple of years, and then when the profits fell, she bailed on her state.

  15. November 17th, 2009 1:14 pm

    TN Vol,

Alaska benefitted from rising oil prices not from improved management.

That means her budget was balanced using money that would otherwise have gone to things like food, clothing and house payments by millions of other Americans.

So she profited from the suffering of other Americans and tries to take credit for it.

And you want to see her as Reagan? Are you really Sean in disguise?

  16. TNVolunteer73 writes
    November 17th, 2009 1:14 pm

Sean. yes she created a rainy day fund for the the day oil prices fell.

She left her state fiscally sound.

Cannot say so much about Democrats can we.

Her state is still fiscally sound, and the rainy day fund still intact.

Cannot say that about the Democrats can we.

Wait, we have a 11.2 trillion dollar national debt. of that national debt 9.7 Trillion was borrowed by DEMOCRATS..

only 1.3 Trillion by other parties.

9.7 Trillion dollars of debt has been Created in the years that DEMOCRATS controlled BOTH HOUSES of congress.

  17. TNVolunteer73 writes
    November 17th, 2009 1:18 pm

Yes the oil prices inceased, and she allowed the private sector to utilize the oil.

Wait. she saw a windfall for the citizens of alaska and took advantage of the windfall.

Why won’t the Democrats use the same logic.

OH Wait Democrats want a crisis, because they cannot allow a good crisis to go to waste.

“Palin Unlike Obama has successfully run an execuitive branch of Government.”

Your definition of successful is resigning before her first term of executive leadership is complete?

Boy, you guys set that bar really high for your candidates, don’t cha!

If she’s such a big fan of “meat,” is that why she would invite Levi over for Thanksgiving?

She really oughta keep her mouth closed.

  19. November 17th, 2009 1:26 pm

    Davy,

At least Palin didn’t lie to her constituents about not running for President if elected Governor or Senator.

I believe both President Clinton and President Obama pledged not to seek higher office if elected.

And Clinton also promised to do something or other “forsaking all others” too so I guess the people of Arkansas had no reason to trust him.

Davy.. She Resigned when she got the state if great fiscal status. Which was her goal.

Obama promised us unemployment would not rise above 8.2%.. it is 10.2% and climbing up the charts on a bullet.

Obama said that we would not need another stimulus, wait, The democrats are proposing another stimulus as we speak.

Obama said the defict would be cut in 1/2.. it has increased 400%

That is the Differnce in Obama and Palin, she walked the walk, he only talks the talk.

FYI, the new Healthcare bill that is suppose to cover all 47 million uninsured, is only going to cover 5 million unisured leaving 42 Million still without insurance,

YEP.. like I said she ran a successful Executive branch… Unlike Obama.

Me thinks Palin scares Liberals, if she was not viable they would not be trying to distroy her.

But at least she knows there are only 50 states.

Maybe that is where Obama made his mistake on revenue, he thought there were 9 more states to tax, than really existed. LOL

  22. November 17th, 2009 1:48 pm

She sounded great on Rush just a while ago, but it is hard to tell how scripted that interview was. I do watch the Rush 24/7 video feed, and he seemed as shocked as I was with the quality of the answers she gave.

Mark, I want to believe the best about her like many of us do; however, I’ll neither embrace nor dismiss her at this point. She’s going to have to show that she can stand and deliver while being interviewed by some more liberals.

Of course, I do want her to succeed. Haven’t you heard that I am her first choice to be veep?

    Ran a fiscally sound Government

    Created a growing economy

Insured the power of government was up to the people

Hey these are sucesses that others only talk about acheiving.

Maybe I look at what people do more than what they say.

But somthing about her, for the most part, she has done what she said. Like her or not. At least she has presented herself without the mask.

You do remember the LAST presidential election, right?

And she really didn’t help McCain, did she?

You do remember, she ran for office once before, with a presidential candidate who said he was only going to serve ONE term of office, which would have quickly put her in the White House?

    You do remember, don’t cha!?

Nope. Tommy Paine.. I discribed myself as a Conservitive.

I don’t defend Bush nor Obama, Nor McCain…

I on occasion defend the office of the President and the Congress, based on their Constitutional Powers.

Not the person holding the office.

This is the problem with liberals, unless you lower yourself to their partisan ignorance and gobble up every LIBERAL Democrat talking point like hotcakes.. you must be a Republican.

But There are many Libertarian Policies on which I am very fond, few of which I am not.

There are a Few Republican policies of which I am fond of… not many.

This is why I will support a Conservitive, I dont care for which party he aligns himself…

Davy yes I remember last election, Many people voted against McCain.

I can tell you the day McCain lost the election. that was the day he voted FOR the Bailout. If he had voted against the bailout and Obama voted for it I would be blasting a Republican President today…

Palin brought voters back to McCain.

I’m sure that when she goes on ‘Meat the Press,’ David Gregory will quiz her on her views about salad …

As for Palin scaring liberals - bring her on! I sincerely hope she’s the candidate in 2012. She doesn’t scare me in the least. She should scare every thoughtful Republican, but Democrats have nothing to fear from her. Every time she opens her mouth she will generate this same kind of discussion, with disastrous results for the GOP.
The candidates that scare me the most are the ones who lie with skill or have no center to them at all - Romney, for example - who talks mumbo-jumbo and has no belief in anything but his own goal of becoming president.

vegetarians are just trendy, and being a vegetarian is bad for the environment too! growing all those vegetables takes up valuable space and emits terrible amounts of greenhouse gasses.
