Bill Frist: Birthers Are Not Republicans

Posted on November 14, 2009 at 7:28 pm

From the Huffington Post:

Is there room for moderates in the GOP?

In the Republican party that I see, there is. And I would encourage the Republican party and the leaders of the Republican party today to keep their arms open. I do not think there should be any single litmus test on issues, either fiscal issues or social issues. I think the overall philosophy of the Republican party focusing on individual dignity and responsibility and less government intervention is the overriding principle.

Is the birther movement bad for the Republican party?

I don’t think its a reflection of the Republican party. I think that people trying to connect the two are exaggerating and trying to make a point.

Do you think President Obama was born in this country?

Absolutely. I have no question about Obama’s citizenship.

Frist doesn’t make the claim that birthers aren’t Republican.

Wait You know all those Democrat Birthers that tried to say that John McCain could not run for president because he was not born in the US.

Credo.. Take a hint from the Tea Party People

CLEAN UP YOUR OWN PARTY FIRST. This goes for the Republican and Democrat party equally.

credo’s right. He just said it’s not a “reflection” of the Republican party. Kleinheider sometimes takes artistic license with his titles to the extreme.

Yeah, no birthers are republicans. I’m sure Lou Ann Zelenik, republican candidate for Congress, is absolutely sure Obama was born in the U.S. too. Yeah, right. I suggest someone ask her.

TNV, there may be Democratic birthers, Democrats attract all types. However, the Democratic Party doesnt encourage them and their numbers are few. Most Dems accept being born in the Panama Canal Zone, of American parents, as good enough.

Democrats really like both birthers and teabaggers. They help to show Republicans as the inflexible ideologues that they are. As long as thats the case, Dems will keep winning.

Moderate. Tehy don’t John kerry wait he is a democrat party leader is the one of the democrats that pushed the Democrat bithers.

Democrats want to show that republicans are infexable idealogs.

Governor Rendell of PA was REMOVED from speaking at the Democrat Convention, why Because he was pro-life.

Wait Pro-life (Huckabee and palin) and Pro-Choice (Barbara Bush Morine Reagan) have always been able to speak at the Conventions.

But I can see though your Idealogical talking point Driven Dribble, because I am not a part of either party.

    TNVol,

The Chairman of our party, Tim Kaine, is pro-life.

  13. November 16th, 2009 9:40 am

And Ed Rendell is pro-choice, and spoke at the convention…along with Sen. Bob Casey Jr., whose father wasn’t allowed to speak at the 1992 convention because he refused to endorse the national ticket, while numerous other pro-life speakers did take the stage.

Yes,Frist has ruled out any runs since he has rejoined Bellemeade Country Club.

The Republican Party has a real ID problem. This is a party that claims to be Pro Life but its totally against Health ins reform. The republican is Pro Gang rape of 19 yr old girls. Their Motto is have babies but no afforable health care once they are born.

No Maternity benefits so if you need to have a C section during birth ,your out of luck ,you birth that baby anyway you can.

Bill Frist supports health care for all as he has grown up an away from the republican party.

The tea baggers are pawns that are being used by lobbyists for the health care indrustries and the republican party.

I still haven’t heard that Lamar alexander and Bob Corker say that racists signs and languaue are the wrong message . 6 million Jews died in the camps and the Republican pawns used a sign that should never be used. Off topic I know…..

The Club For Growth has said, that there will be a Litmus Test for anyone running in 2012 . So Republicans get your No taxes for the very rich on and no health acre reform and Def No equal rights and Women/Girls get used to being raped and pregrant after all its good for you.
