Golfing With Corker

Senate Republicans and their families will spend the upcoming weekend at one of the nation’s most luxurious golf resorts: The Cloisters and The Lodge at Sea Island, Ga., the site of the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s fall retreat.

The resort sits on a privately owned island situated on Georgia’s Golden Coast, and it is consistently ranked among the best golf resorts in the country.

This is likely good news for Senate scratch golfers like Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) and Judd Gregg (R-N.H.); equally good are guests’ chances of running into full-time resident and PGA star Davis Love III on the greens.

UPDATE: Word comes from Corker’s office that he is not attending this event.
