A Reactionary Reaction To Ft. Hood

Posted on November 6, 2009 at 9:04 am

From the Bear Creek Ledger:

Instead of acknowledging there is a problem within their religion, Muslims always blame someone else. It’s all about them, how there’s a backlash against the Muslim community. How Muslims are the victims here, not those sad families who have just lost their loved one by this Islamic extremist. No sympathy from the Muslim community for all those families who have wounded family members, nope, it’s all about Muslims being the victims.

    Hey crazy-bot:

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, released a statement today condemning the shootings at Fort Hood. Here is the full text:

“We condemn this cowardly attack in the strongest terms possible and ask that the perpetrators be punished to the full extent of the law. No religious or political ideology could ever justify or excuse such wanton and indiscriminate violence. The attack was particularly heinous in that it targeted the all-volunteer army that protects our nation. American Muslims stand with our fellow citizens in offering both prayers for the victims and sincere condolences to the families of those killed or injured.”

Along with innumerable condemnations of terror, CAIR has in the past launched an online anti-terror petition drive called “Not in the Name of Islam,” initiated a television public service announcement (PSA) campaign against religious extremism and coordinated a “fatwa,” or
Islamic religious ruling, against terrorism and extremism.”

Took me one google netweb search to find that. Two mins. Sure there are plenty more examples.

They have ties to terrorist groups.

Well Josh, I won’t accept that without reading proof. But to drive my point further:

In a separate statement, the Muslim Public Affairs Council, based in Los Angeles, California, condemned what it called the “heinous incident.”
“We are in contact with law enforcement and U.S. federal government officials to gain more facts from this tragic incident and work together in dealing with its aftermath,” the group said.
Its statement called on “all members of American Muslim communities to be in contact with local law enforcement for the safety and security of their communities and their institutions.”
The Islamic Information Center also issued a statement “in conjunction with all the major Muslim organizations nationwide” that condemned the attack.
“While several news reports have cited one of the gunmen to be Army Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, IIC strongly emphasizes that this attack and its perpetrator are in no way representative of the Muslim people or the peace-loving religion of Islam,” the statement said.
“The individuals who perpetrated this attack blatantly acted against the teachings of Islam and humanity,” it added.

Jerry, one simple google search will give you the truth on CAIR.

All Muslims though didn’t condemn this? That still your point?

So, is it a hate crime?

After the shootings at Fort Hood, Texas, where a Muslim Army Major (while yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’) killed twelve of our unarmed Soldier heroes, I feel I must give voice to the questions everyone else is asking, yet no one is brave enough to give voice…

Why are Arabs, Muslims and Islamists in our military? A military that is tasked to defend us from Arabs, Muslims and Islamists??

Such a policy would directly relate to having Hitler’s Nazis serving in our US military while we were fighting World War Two. It would be like having Khrushchev’s Communists serving in our military during the height of the Cold War. And not only allowing these enemies of out United States of America to serve in our military ranks… BUT GIVING THESE ENEMIES AN OFFICER’S COMMISSION AND PUTTING THEM OVER AMERICAN SOLDIERS?!?

    WHY!?!

The day of the 9-11 attacks on the World Trade Center, I was, like many Americans, at work that day. I remember when many of us gathered to discuss the terrorist attack we had just witnessed that morning. While it came out many days after the 9-11 attacks that the person and group responsible for the murder of thousands of civilians was Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda, one guy in our work-group thought he had the definitive answer as to the people responsible for the attack. While bodies still laid in the smoking rubble in New York, the Pentagon and Pennsylvania, this guy, a Muslim, said he knew who, without a doubt, was responsible. This Muslim guy said: “It’s the American CIA and the Mossad (the Jewish CIA) that’s responsible for this.”

This victim mentality is vastly common among the Muslim culture. They see themselves as the innocent victims while their brother and sister Muslims continue to destroy and kill across the globe in the name of their religion.

Why are Arabs, Muslims and Islamists in our military? A military that is tasked to defend us from Arabs, Muslims and Islamists??

Yesterday, in his first response to the Muslim Major killing unarmed soldiers at Fort Hood, President Barack Hussein Obama lightly brushed off the Muslim Major’s murderous rampage after making light comments to the assembled group to which he was speaking.

Why did we select a Muslim President to lead our United States America? A president that is constitutionally sworn to defend us from Arabs, Muslims and Islamists?

    WHY??

No, doesn’t mean a thing about Islam. Muslims can be terrorist. Doesn’t mean they are. But, Cair has given money to terrorists.

They are alleged at this point… There are several sites that have info, but I would be careful until more info is out there, but it doesn’t look or sound good.

    Huh???

Our military is tasked with no such orders.

Why don’t you take your racist, hate-filled bile and spew it somewhere else.

Davy, should Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan be charged with hate crimes?

Muslims are not the enemies of the United States, & the day that they are considered such is the day I would consider renouncing my American citizenship.

We are not at war with the Muslim faith, & anyone who thinks we are is contributing to sending this country down a destructive road, one our Founding Fathers, especially (but not exclusively) Thomas Jefferson, took great pains to avoid.

What we are “at war with” are those who believe their faith informs them to commit murderous acts, & while one can certainly apply that to individuals who subscribe to the Islamic faith with recent events, one could also certainly apply that to terrorists in U.S. history who committed violent acts in the name of their own Christian faith (see Rudolph, Eric Robert, to name just one).

I thank God for every single person of the Muslim faith who spends their day busting their ass to defend my country, or working hard to help it realize its true ideal. They are just as important to this country’s success as anyone else.

I’m more angry with FBI and gang who had this guy in their sites and didn’t do anything. I’m pissed about the Army bureaucracy that didn’t do anything with him and promoted him to major. Now 12 people are dead because of this maladjusted little creep. He’s an oath breaker and murderer. He should be shot by firing squad for treason.

“Davy, should Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan be charged with hate crimes?”

    Hate crimes based on what?

Did he just kill Christian soldiers and civilians?

Do we know that he specifically targeted Christians?

I don’t think being a soldier is a “race, creed, religion, etc” is it?

Do you know why he targeted the people he shot and killed?

If you do, why don’t you tell us?

But give us evidence, not just speculation.

“Instead of acknowledging there is a problem within their ideology, conservatives always blame someone else. It’s all about them, how there’s a backlash against the conservative community. How conservatives are the victims here, not those sad families who have just lost their loved one by some conservative extremist (see Knoxville). No sympathy from the conservative community for all those families who have wounded family members, nope, it’s all about conservatives being the victims.”

    Helpful rhetoric.

Clearly this was an act of terror. It is time for the islamic community to help identify potential terrorist in there mosques. If they don’t or won’t then I hope they get the backlash they deserve.
