Half The Man He Used To Be

Posted on November 4, 2009 at 9:06 am

Zach Wamp on breaking his term limits pledge back in the day:

“One of the reasons I took this step (gubernatorial bid) earlier this year was because I never felt whole about that, either,” Rep. Wamp answered. “That’s just an honest assessment of who I am and where I am.

“I did stay two terms longer than I originally said that I would. But I also didn’t want to be a career politician — I wanted to either be good enough to move up or step aside for someone else.”

    Well, there’s that.

Then there’s the fact that he had absolutely no chance of beating Bredesen in 2006.

    Which ever excuse…err…reason you prefer.

    Whooaa.

That’s not the explanation he gave when he broke the pledge.

He said then that he was breaking the pledge so that he could deal with the serious national security concerns the nation faced after 9/11.

So, have those concerns gone away?

I mean now since we have a communist President whose middle name, Wamp’s supporters believe, is “Appeasment” (that means “giving up,” TNVol73), isn’t the presence of such red blooded Americans like Wamp needed in Congress now more than ever before?

Has the threat from terrorists lessened that much?

Does Wamp believe that Obama has done such a great job in fighting terrorism that Wamp is no longer needed?

Or is the terrorist threat now greater in Soddy Daisy or Belle Meade than it is the nation as whole?

Surely, Zach Wamp did not decide to run for governor out of personal ambition alone? Surely not!

“I did stay two terms longer than I originally said that I would.”

This is called lieing. All further ‘original’ statements by Zack Wamp are to be believed by fools and cronies.

Zach was a member of the most powerful committee in Congress; The Appropriations Committee. For those of you here who dont realize what this means let me explain. It means that he has the ability to deliver more help to the people of his district than any other living human being except the President. The people of his district encouraged him to run again because he was in a position to help them. You never hear one sole from his district complaining about him returning to Congress, only people trying to slander him. Had he not run again he would be lamblasted as being out of his mind to give up such a powerful seat and neglect the will of his district. So before you accuse Zach of reneging on a promise you should actually explore the reason why. Sometimes things are not as they seem. If however your looking for a reason to slam Zach then swing away but remember, he was looking out for his district the same way he will look out for Tennesseans. Personally I think he will make a great Governor. Hes smart, got the experience to lead and has a track record to show that he knows what he is doing.
