But to get near him you have to obey these rules transmitted on Gannett webspace by Natalia Mielczarek a paid staff writer for the Tennessean newspaper located at 1100 Broadway:

– You have to buy Gore’s new book at the bookstore to receive a number that will determine your place in line.

– Gore will not pose for photographs or sign anything else except his new book.

– Members of the bookstore’s program called Gives Back, which donates funds to local charities, get to the front of the line with Our Choice purchase.

    It is always like this at an Al Gore event held in Nashville. The Tennessean is the only newspaper in town. I think Gore’s self-important staff is reflected in these rules. If you can get through to the man himself everything is great.
