Illegal Guns Bought In Nashville Taken To New York

Posted on October 7, 2009 at 11:07 am

So says their Mayor Bloomberg:

Jason Post, spokesperson for Bloomberg said that 90% of guns recovered in New York City are from out of state. Speaking to NashvillePost.com, Post said that those guns are purchased at gun shows in places like Nashville and other cities and are illegally brought into the city. The methods in which the weapons are being purchased are also illegal according to Post.

The investigation conducted by New York City covered seven gun shows in three states, including the Tennessee Expo Center and Tennessee State Fairground Shows. A video, that will be released by the city later today, will allegedly show how easy it is for criminals to buy firearms at gun shows.

Yes and these criminals should be prosecuted. And that includes the criminals who unlawfully bought the guns.

Sounds like lots of real upstanding citizens called a buddy and brought a friend to Bill Goodman’s Big Gun and Knife Show…

“And that includes the criminals who unlawfully bought the guns.”

If in actuality the buyers could pass a background check, regardless of what they said to the seller, what is unlawful about their purchases?

The sellers, however, were given reason to believe the buyers were not legal purchases, and did not halt the purchase.

Bill Haslam’s boy, Mike Bloomberg, leading the way. Haslam has to be thrilled. His Mayor’s Against Illegal Guns group is doing it’s job.

Oh…wait, sorry, he doesn’t belong to that group anymore, he running for Governor. Guess we should expect NRA Bill to come out strong against anti-gun Bloomberg.
