Ty Cobb To Pat Marsh: You Lie!
Posted on September 15, 2009 at 4:44 pmThe Democratic candidate for state house in District 62 rejects the assertion made by the Republican candidate Pat Marsha that he is ducking debates. The letter from Ty Cobb to Pat Marsh:
Dear Pat,
I find it disappointing that you would try to score cheap political points through a press release insinuating that I am refusing to debate you. As you are well aware, leaders in both House caucuses are negotiating the best time, place and format for such a debate of the issues.
I believe it is in the best interest of the citizens of Bedford, Lincoln and Rutherford counties to have all candidates at the debate, including Independent candidate Chris Brown. In your haste, or more likely the state Republican Party’s haste, to have a debate on your own terms, you neglected to invite Mr. Brown.
Please refrain from these negative campaign attacks from this point forward. The people of House District 62 deserve civil, honest debate about the importance of good jobs, quality schools and safe communities.
I go to work every day delivering packages throughout the area, and people tell me they are worried about losing their jobs, their homes and the ability to raise their families in safe neighborhoods. I want to represent my friends, neighbors and co-workers in the state Legislature so I can address their concerns.
Making our communities, our state and our country a better place to live and raise a family is the reason I want to serve in the Tennessee General Assembly, as I’m sure it’s yours. Let’s not resort to the petty bickering that seems to be so commonplace in today’s politics. Good luck to you and Mr. Brown in your campaigns, and may the best candidate win.

You need to just debate him and stop hiding behind the party, it never works.
What’s wrong with Tyrus Cobb, II? He’s afraid to debate in public. He’s ducked out of two debates already and says he doesn’t have time. If he doesn’t have time to talk to the public, how can he have time to be a legislator.

Why do you need to have the caucuses set up a debate. It looks like Marsh challenged you, not the Democratic Party, and your response was that you didn’t have the time.

Pat Marsh to Ty Cobb: YOU LOSE!
Looks like Marsh is runnin’ scared! All politicos know that when your down in the polls, you challenge your opponent to a debate. Marsh has plenty of time to have all kinds of worthless debates ’cause he doesn’t have a real job. Ty is workin’ his butt off, and everybody Bedford, Lincoln, and Rutherford can see it. Heck, I even saw one of his volunteers throwin up signs in the pouring rain tonight. Marsh is gonna get his ass whipped and the country club republicans sippin their merlot are gonna be sick when the returns come in! Keep up the lazy attack campaign Patsy!

lol…Pat Marsh doesn’t have a real job? I guess working your butt off your whole life so you can own your own business and provide hundreds of jobs for people throughout your community is not something that Joey can identify with. I think most democrats are better than Joey. Especially the democrats in this district. They are fed up with the lack of common sense in our politcians and like they fact that a real person, that is a small business owner, is running for office!
And I’m pretty sure post politics posted an artcile last week quoting Ty Cobb’s campaign staff saying he didn’t “have the time.” So isn’t that kind of crazy to say Marsh is the one “lying” when the words came from Cobb’s own campaign?
Ty Cobb doesn’t have a leg to stand on. He doesn’t know what he’s doing.
The House GOP caucus staffers probably could be spending their time a little more prodcutively than posting the same comment over and over again on a blog that about 13 people in District 62 read.
