Feds Don’t Like Bredesen’s Solar Farm Idea

Posted on August 9, 2009 at 11:55 am

Richard Locker reports:

Gov. Phil Bredesen hoped for quick federal approval when the state applied on May 12 for $62.5 million in federal money for his “Volunteer State Solar Initiative” — a solar-power institute at the University of Tennessee and a large “solar farm” in Haywood County northeast of Memphis.

But almost immediately after the filing of the application for the funding, federal officials began raising serious questions about the project that have continued all summer.

Yes because if we have solar farms, the Federal Government cannot control the energy we use. Thus defeating the purpose of Cap and Trade.

If the Obama administration hates it, then it must be a good idea.

This is a very ambitious project. Sounds like the feds are slow on the uptake.
