Stacey Campfield Wants To Be A State Senator
By Kleinheider Posted on August 8, 2009 at 8:35 pmIt’s official. From Tom Humphrey:
Campfield said he will seek the Republican nomination to the Senate District 7 seat, now held by Sen. Tim Burchett, R-Knoxville, who has announced he will seek election as Knox County mayor instead of another Senate term.
His House district is part of the Senate district. Senate districts have three times as large a population as House districts, though the salary is the same for both senators and representatives.
In an announcement statement, Campfield said Burchett has been a “vocal leader” at the state level for Knox County as chairman of the county legislative delegation and he can “make a smooth transition into that role, having served for years as the delegation’s vice chairman.”
Campfield said he is in tune with citizen concerns about “massive spending and government control programs.”
“Now is a time when we must have bold leadership from proven conservatives - someone who will not just talk conservative at election time, but someone who has a proven record of fighting for those values in Nashville,” he said.
Campfield has filed the paperwork with the Bureau of Ethics and Campaign Finance to begin raising money for the Senate campaign. Records show he has a balance of $1,188 in his House campaign account.

So, do his contemporaries try to get him to ‘change his name’ to something more suave and masculine than “Stacey”? The big dogs of the TN Republican Party try to make me go by “William” (my first name but not what I had been called) because they want to use as “Trouble Behind the Scenes”, which is the Norm of what people such as Fred Thompson and Jim Kyle like to Operate (not to mention Ms Mary Lee Hall {and I hope she starves to death}) and Blake Lay {and I hope they call in his Mortgage}..
Now then let me add that Mr “Tim Burchett” is a Big Dog of TN Politics and (similar To Mayor Karl Dean) is sort of the very respectable kind of person ya need as Mayor. A Town Mayor is an intimate and important Job and it makes ya wonder what if they had let old Cold incompetent Bob Clement do the job? Some Lawrenceburg big-uns killed the best Mayor we had ever had, in Ivan Johnson (and I’m not trying to drop so many names) because he knew too much on some of the old dogs/ new tricks. Tennessee had been run in the ground for 3 decades while most people didn’t even realise that we have a state legislature; not until they started pickin people off over ‘issues’ such as the state lottery and peoples younger sister used to sweeten the pot.
Who are you William? You ramble as if tho on some type of wacky weed or a geek kid hiding in a parents basement from the conspirators. This story concerns a
Knox Co. senate seat!
