Do Tell

Posted on August 3, 2009 at 7:30 pm

Phil Williams casts a shadow over Sen. Dewayne Bunch and what he was in a position to know about Sen. Paul Stanley and tells of rumors of female lobbyists who may have shared some intimate moments with the disgraced Senator:

But another family-values Republican senator was much closer to the scene of the scandal.

State Sen. Dewayne Bunch from Cleveland was Stanley’s roommate.

Friends say Bunch, a devout Baptist, often went back home during the legislative session — so he might have missed Stanley’s shenanigans.

But, throughout the scandal, Bunch didn’t return my phone calls. He didn’t issue any statements. He just kept his mouth shut.

The fact is that Stanley’s conduct was an open secret around the legislature — not only was there talk about the intern, there was also talk about female lobbyists who wanted his vote.

I don’t see the point of piling onto Bunch. He’s a good guy as far as I know, though clearly we don’t know it all, about anything.

I don’t know about the good guy part, but in my opinion he is continually one of the worst when it comes to pieces of legislation. Even his own party has to try to water down his bills because they are not very good. Also, for an attorney, he doesn’t seem to be the the brightest bulb in the box. Lobbyists seem to also know this and that is the reason he will not move from Vice Chair to Chair of Commerce. You can bank on Sen. Johnson getting that post, no pun intended.

Yeah, I’ve seen the watering down, Ryan, on all sorts of things.

With Phil Williams now investigating, “what Dewayne Bunch knew,” it becomes apparent that he’s focusing attention on conservative Republican leaders. There have been numerous proclivities amongst members of the Legislature as interesting, if not more interesting, to the public as Bunch’s knowledge of Paul Stanley’s behavior. Yet, Phil Williams, who’s been around Capitol Hill long enough to have learned about all of them, is apparently choosing to ignore the ones with whom he apparently has a political affinity.

It’s important to remember that when a Democrat has a sex scandal (Clinton, Spitzer, Edwards, etc.), a hypocritical, immoral adulterer has been exposed for what he is.

When a Republican is involved (Ensign, Sanford, Vitter, etc.), a decent, God-fearing Christian only showed he is human, and this uncharacteristic lapse in judgment should not overshadow his strong moral character and dedication to his constituents.

Any questions? Remember IOKIYAR (It’s Okay If You’re A Republican).

The intern appears to be quite attractive. She certainly lowered her standards. I wonder if Kent Williams would pay to see her nekked.

At least Susan Lynn will be safe from Sen. Stanley in the likely event she is elected to the Senate.

The Republicans are in charge and look where there power has taken them. They are acting like Tarzan in the jungle.
