The Most Wicked Scheme Ever Devised In 232 Years

Posted on July 31, 2009 at 8:48 am

David Oatney shares his opinion on why Sen. Lamar Alexander should not have agreed to confirm Sonia Sotomayor to Supreme Court:

There is a larger issue at stake, however, and that is whether President Obama should be allowed to upend the social and political fabric of this nation without any opposition. One Supreme Court nomination is not where the saga of this administration is going to end. Barack Obama is determined to destroy the very foundations of our Republic, and do so with the people allowing it. Our United States Senators should not merely stand idly by while our own President brings this country to ruination. They have a right and a duty to oppose every facet of the President’s agenda of evil, taking all appropriate opprtunities to do so. If Lamar Alexander believes as I do, and as all truely patriotic Tennesseans believe, that Barack Obama’s plan for America is the most wicked scheme ever devised in the 232 year history of this country, Obama must not only be given opposition, but every political chance must be taken when such situations arise to bring his administration to the total and complete political destruction that it so richly deserves.

Evil must be opposed at all costs and in every legal fashion possible. THAT is why Lamar Alexander should not support Sotomayor’s nomination. It isn’t about Sotomayor, it is about the man who appointed her.

Says Oatney: “Barack Obama is determined to destroy the very foundations of our Republic.”

You know, this kind of stupid shit statement is why the far-right looney-tune super-radical crypto-fascist nutjobs like Oatney are in an ever-shrinking minority in America. But the smaller their influence, the more out of the mainstream they get, the louder, shriller, more violent in tone and action they get.

Look, people who disagree with your political views don;t want to “destroy” America. I personally think GWB and his Machiavellan VP Cheney did great damage to America. Terrible, destructive damage. But I don;t think they “were determined to destroy” our country. I think they were just wrong.

Oatney is part of the far-right echo chamber, whipped up by their talk radio puppetmasters, not to question the policies of our elected officials (of the other party), but to question instead their motives. I guess it sells better to these knickle-draggers to say “OBAMA WANTS TO DESTROY AMERICA!!!” rather than make any kind of reasoned debate on policy.

That kind of approach, Oatney, is fundamentally anti-American. I don;t think that’s what you want to be, but that’s the effect of this kind of batshit crazy comment.

I’m afraid Mr. Oatney may need to go back to his Dr and get stronger meds. That kind of looney tunes rant is destructive to the party and to our country as a whole. May I suggest to Mr Oatney that you turn off your computer and radio today and spend some time outside reflecting on all of God’s blessings and what is right in your life and the world. Basically, young man, you need to calm down.

What about our Purity of Essence and our precious bodily fluids?

Actually, you have to give Mr. Oatney credit. Despite ALL appearances, he’s not a complete nutjob; notice that he does not advocate secession or revolution, as some of our tea-bagging fellow Americans have: “Evil must be opposed at all costs and in every legal fashion possible.”

I guess he’s planning on filing a civil suit against Satan next week. And try to find Hitler’s birth certificate to show he wasn’t a German citizen, and therefore not qualified to become Fuhrer.

    Oatney has lost his mind.

God help you if I ever see you in a bar without a gun, buddy.

Nice shorthand implication by R. Neal.

    Here’s the longhand version:

    R. Neal’s phrase is from the classic movie “Dr. Strangelove” which includes this bit of dialogue, where another general and the U.S. President are pondering a message from raving lunatic General Jack D. Oatney — I mean, Jack D. Ripper — regarding “Purity of Essence” and “precious bodily fluids”:
    __________

General “Buck” Turgidson: Uh, we’re, still trying to figure out the meaning of that last phrase, sir.

President Merkin Muffley: There’s nothing to figure out, General Turgidson. This man is obviously a psychotic.

Why would you quote anything from this nut’s blog? Surely you require some standards ….

Wow. What happened to Oatney? He used to be a pretty thoughtful conservative. And now he’s coming up with this drivel?
