Paul Stanley’s Ex-Wife Speaks: Hopes He ‘Gets What He Deserves’

Posted on July 24, 2009 at 7:15 pm

The former Judy Stanley, Sen. Paul Stanley’s first wife who filed a restraining order against him in 1994, tells Memphis TV that she hopes Stanley gets what he deserves after revelations how come out that he cheated on his second wife with an intern.

Stanley said at the time that it was his wife, Judy, not he who was abusive:

Stanley’s ex-wife says a day after filing the restraining order, Stanley came back to their East Memphis house with a sheriff deputy, packed his bags and moved out. Criminal charges were never filed against Stanley. So far, Paul Stanley has not commented on the abuse claims, but in divorce records he turns the tables and says his ex-wife was the abusive one.

The old claims of abuse, comes on the heels Stanley being in the middle of a sex scandal.

The abuse claims are ‘he said she said’ and without witnesses might be impossible to prove either way.

Though it should be noted that many wives of abusive husbands are afraid of filing criminal charges.

It seems clear that Stanley’s ex-wife just wanted to be rid of him after his betrayal.

But this is the second woman Republican Paul Stanley has cheated on and that shows a pattern of character, or rather, the lack of character.

The question is, will his ‘family values’ supporters call him out?

Or will he just be another Republican philanderer amongst their ranks that is given tacit permission for betraying his own family?

Vitter, Sanford, Ensign, Craig, Foley, Fosselli, Giuliani, McCain, Gingrich, Gibbons, Cunningham, Calvert, even Republican Ronald Reagan betrayed his first wife and abandoned his children.

These aren’t isolated examples any more, it’s the sick heart of the Republican Party “values”: Hypocrisy and duplicity.

As one “family values supporter,” let me go on record as saying, “Paul, please resign.” Seriously, you are so completely damaged that you have lost all functionality as an elected representative of your constituents. Do them a favor and fade away into private life, where I wish you every success in repairing what you have broken.

Yay. We’re going to get yet another special election in Memphis. Surely we’ve set some kind of record by now.

Thank you for your voice, Charles.

Id like to see state rep Mcmanus run for the state senate. Im from Memphis and used to watch his business report on Fox all the time. He seems like a smart guy. Plus, isnt it about time we get someone in Nashville who knows how to manage a busget!

These ‘family values’ Republicans are showing their true colors as pathetic hypocrites and apologists for Paul Stanley. Blogger Terry Frank smears the victim, paints Stanley as the victim, and smears Planned Parenthood as a diversion from the real issue. Check it out: http://terryfrank.net/?p=3979

These people are sick. Delete comments, put up diversions, do anything but take responsibility for the reality. That’s what these people are best at - lying and keeping people misinformed. If it were a Democrat, you can just imagine what they’d be saying. However, it is only the Republicans that claim the high moral ground on ‘family values’. The same people who cheat on and beat their wives. Terry Frank tries to give Stanley a pass because the young girl he cheated with was not yet divorced. WTF??. What he did was bad, what Terry Frank is doing is worse.

The sad thing about all of this is that rank-and-file Republicans, especially the anti-tax lunatics, refuse to call their leaders onto the carpet for these things.

It may depend on the evangelical Christian wing of the GOP to lay down the law and start purging these slimebags out of their party. Whether they do this or not will reveal whether they are really serious about “family values” or just the hypocritical fascists that many liberals think they are.

Come on, fundies. Man up and clean house in the GOP or shut the hell up.

I love Dems and Libs telling me/Evangelicals that I/we need to get all judgmental and moralistic and unforgiving.

I and others have said that Stanley is unqualified–by our standards, to serve in the state senate. Any ambivalence on the issue reflects the very real tension between idealism and pragmatism in the political realm. A candidate/official’s character is difficult to assess, and the ultimate objective in choosing elected officials is the implementation of wise public policy, not selecting role models.

For me, these events engender feelings of betrayal and disdain toward Stanley and his ilk within my Party, and though this post by ACK is attractive like an auto accident, and though this information seems to affirm all my worst sentiments/conclusions about Stanley, I’m not sure that the article/post is altogether relevant. Unless our purpose is to provide more opportunities for Liberal tongue-clucking and discordant moralizing about hypocrisy.

because every ‘liberal’ in existence is more moral than any right-winger alive.

“nedro”: “I love Dems and Libs telling me/Evangelicals that I/we need to get all judgmental and moralistic and unforgiving.”

Are you assuming they are Dems & Libs because of the failure of the Republis & Cons to speak out consistently on moral issues?

I’ve never heard a Republi or Con fail to find their moralizing voice when it was a Dem or Lib caught with their pants down.

But Republis and Cons sure are quiet when it comes to the moral failures and philandering of their fellow Republicans and Conservatives.

It seems that Right Winger’s First Rule is that Rules Are For Other People.

Here again, we witness repulsive defenders for a politician perv who pimped the constituents for money and a job with perks and civil rights he refuses for the public sector.

And those are the very people in our nation who cannot fathom why their version of “spread of democracy and freedom” was met by people willing to die to fight against it?

What have you bible thumping right wingers exhibited in your bigotry, hypocrisy, blood lusting culture of death, corruption, derision, intellectual and spiritual constipation that warrants others to consider you role models that should have others emulate you?

If God ever decides to give the world an enema, he’ll stick the hose up these bible thumping POS.
