Congress is status quo-ing the beneficiaries of the warped market from WWII wage freezes in which raises were illegal but the addition of health insurance benefits was legal: not to mention tax-deductible for employers but tax-free to employees. And is it any wonder then that we’ve had inflation in costs and overutilization? A fix is needed; but the “I’ve got mine, Jack”-offs are screwing the less fortunate. Explain it to Jesus tomorrow, you bastards.

I wonder what will happen when Bart Gordon votes against health care reform right as he faces one of his toughest re-election fights of his career.

Does he seriously think that the Democrats in his district - nearly all of whom want to see health care pass - are going to forget about his betrayal on Election Day?

Gordon is making a MAJOR tactical mistake if he gets on the wrong side of this issue. The rank-and-file Dems who help get him re-elected will stay at home if he screws up on this. I guarantee it.

Y’know, I always thought that our Conservadems would have learned their lesson after the last election here where they got pounded into the minority. But now I see that these self-styled “party elders” haven’t learned the lesson yet. They will if they screw up on health care. Get ready for the unemployment line, Mr. Gordon - the whole state is watching.

Take your meds, Corn Dawg. You’re drifing into some alternate reality.

There ain’t that many moonbeams in Tennessee. Bart Gordon will be re-elected in a landslide regardless of how he votes on healthcare.
