How Many Donations Per Year Did Puryear Give To Cammack?

Posted on July 17, 2009 at 9:32 am

Just the one — and that’ll be enough:

Gus Puryear, the Republican lawyer for Corrections Corporation of America and failed judicial nominee, who last year had a Fatwa put out on him by the Nashville Scene, gave Ward $250 back in March of this year.

Now they most likely know each other through the Belle Meade Country Club, a club whose membership packet comes with the racist label for many Nashville/Tennessee liberals. And it makes sense to go after the people you know to get the money you need. But given the Scene’s recent campaign against Cammack, I wouldn’t be too surprised to see them use this donation as another bludgeon. And, quite frankly, it would seem to raise concerns that Cammack is having to rely on members of the GOP establishment for funds…could the favors be returned should Cammack win the election?

Isn’t it obvious by this point that Cammack is really a Republican running as a Democrat because he thinks the competition is less in the Democratic Primary?

And Barack Obama’s national finance chair, Penny Pritzker, donated to GW Bush in 1999 and 2003. Who cares?!

Common sense also Penny Pritzker gave to everyone, she was defrauding Fanny and Freddie,

Chicago-based billionaire Penny Pritzker could join Barack Obama’s new administration.

The President-elect’s transition team has reportedly started vetting Pritzker, whose grandfather founded the Hyatt hotel chain and holds interests in multiple companies. And those companies will no doubt be scoured by Obama’s aides. One business in particular could cause a bit of a headache:

She was involved in running and overseeing Superior Bank, an Illinois institution co-owned by her family that was at the forefront of turning subprime loans into securities, the risky practice at the heart of the financial crisis. The bank collapsed in 2001 after regulators discovered accounting irregularities that overstated its assets.

Pritzker’s definitely done well by Obama this political season; she’s largely responsible for his mammoth fund-raising and acted as his campaign’s national finance chair. And, as a bipartisan benefit, Pritzker has donated to exploratory committees and campaigns for the likes of George W. Bush, John McCain and Hillary Clinton. Her across-the-aisle interest would surely help ease worries that Obama’s simply going back to the Clinton era.

Obama wasn’t a recently converted Republican.

The issue here is that Cammack claims he is now a Democrat, but there’s very little evidence of it.

What little money his campaign has raised came from Republicans. He refuses to give up his membership in a lily white country club, which is a kiss of death in a Democratic primary. He invests big money in companies that destroy the environment.

Cammack can call himself a Democrat all he wants. He acts like a Republican.
