Felon Sold Kazemi Gun That Killed Steve McNair

Posted on July 17, 2009 at 11:19 am

Will face federal charges.

UPDATE: Interesting tidbits at Pith:

A quick search shows that Gilliam was arrested by Metro PD on June 30th for driving with a suspended license. The incident occurred only three days before the ATF says he sold a loaded .9 MM to Sahel Kazemi, McNair’s killer, whom Gilliam had met as a prospective buyer of the car she was trying to sell.

Born in 1975, it’s possible that Gilliam was a minor when convicted of the murder and attempted robbery charges. That would explain why the Florida Department of Corrections lists no record of his incarceration, nor does Nexis have any clue as to where the crime was committed, or the circumstances surrounding it.

After they arrest that clown, they should immediately drive over to the Metro Police Department for rund 2.

That should be “round 2,” but regardless, the guy’s name is Adrian J. Gilliam Jr.

Go see ESPN instead of the local rags for a complete story:

Now wait a minute. What about his Second Amendment rights? And hers? Where is the NRA and the TFA on this one? Aren’t all laws whatsoever limiting a citizen’s right to have a gun of any kind whatsoever under any circumstances whatsoever without government interference whatsoever totally sacred, even in this circumstance? I mean, after all, car wrecks kill lots more people every year than murder suicides, don’t they? And if she really wanted to murder him and kill herself, she could have done it with a knife or even a rock, couldn’t she? A gun realy had nothing to do with this crime, and mentioning a gun is just a smear tactic against guns, isn’t it? We don’t need laws about selling or reselling a gun to a citizen with no felonies on her record, do we? How could this guy know that she didn’t need this gun to protect herself and her family from rampaging “bad guys” at Applebee’s? I mean, we needed that gun law to protect us from that out of control problem, didn’t we? Isn’t charging this gun enthusiast and Second Amendment champion just a back door attempt by the liberals to discredit our right to sell guns to other citizens and to take away our guns and let socialists impose a one-world government on us?
