Now Herron Gets No Flex

Posted on July 16, 2009 at 9:16 am

After playing some creative accounting games with his release, Sean Braisted says he will now take everything comes out of the Roy Herron camp with a large grain of salt:

It may seem cute and innocent over at Camp Herron, but it probably isn’t a good idea to create issues of mistrust among the press and bloggers, or else that tag is going to stick for the rest of the campaign, and a stricter scrutiny will be placed on their announcements and releases.

Yep. This goes in the same column as Roy’s other famous fib: Voting against Labor not once but twice, them claiming it was all just a big misunderstanding.

Yet another blogger with a grossly overinflated sense of self. While Herron did fudge his numbers you were awful quick to take the info to ‘get the story’….Get over yourself Braisted. You have NO INFLUENCE outside of the coffee shoppes and hipster bars of midtown Nashville.

Exactly. This wasn’t some small misstep by an overly enthusiastic campaign that was trying to be too cute by half. This is a pattern of behavior from a candidate that has no respect for the truth.

Slick Roy lost my vote by co-sponsoring guns in bars. Now everyone can see that he can’t be trusted.

The lying Roy Herron still lists himself as Senate Caucus Chair on his Facebook page. Let’s start a countdown to see how long until he removes that reference…he officially resigned as chair at the end of session, June 18th. 21 days and counting.

For a politician that has been in the game for over two decades, Herron doesn’t seem to understand that voters pay attention to his words and his actions.

“Slick Roy” is the right name for him.

Herron is not to be trusted. Has had way too many “errors” recently. And to attack Braisted for stating the obvious only makes the Herron camp look slimy.

True on the attacks on Braisted. It is beyond slimy to attack someone for pointing out that your candidate shouldn’t lie.

Herron should quit embarrassing himself and his family and drop out of this race.

Frankly, Blaming my comments on Herron’s camp makes you guys look like a bunch of crybabies. I do not represent ANY campaign, committee or party. Period. I am just sick of unqualified nobodies thinking that they can influence politics and policy. The ‘citizen journalists’ need to leave this work to trained professionals. Go back to your coffee shop/community college/dance club of choice and shut up about things that you have no knowledge of.

TNOBSERVER, what “knowledge of” anything special did Braisted need, exactly, in order to express criticism of Sen. Herron’s public fundraising reporting?

Who the f$$k are you, TNOBSERVER? You are a commentor on “citizen journalist” blogs. That puts you one rung lower on the food chain than the people you attack. . . unless you are actually a journalist attacking bloggers anonymously.

But to the point, you’re okay with Roy Herron lying to the press about how much money he raised?

Oooooo! Looka here! The liberal blogger mafia have come to the defense of one of their kinsmen! You guys are all a bunch of neophytes. Come on. If you have a problem with my comments feel free to email me and as for your comment ‘OG” NO I do not condone Herron lying. I just do not tolerate soft headed, media-whoring, know nothing, wannabe, dopes acting like they can influence the process. It’s just a bunch of self-promotional, egomania. (see earlier comment)

Oh, and Freddo-o: Stick to college radio please.
