Forrester: Hey, Hey. Ho, Ho. SoS Has Got To Go!

Posted on July 10, 2009 at 1:15 pm

From the party blog:

Citing an abuse of power, Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Chip Forrester called for the firing of Secretary of State Tre Hargett.

“The Secretary of State is using his office to obstruct the voting rights of all Tennesseans,” Forrester said. “Mr. Hargett’s refusal to do the job he was sworn to do appears to be part of a nefarious Republican strategy to stand in the way of secure and verifiable elections in Tennessee.

“We deserve better. Mr. Hargett needs to go. That’s why I’m calling on the General Assembly to remove him from office.”

This is an outrage! I demand that ACK be fired for posting it.

Another week, another call for someone to be fired from the TNDP. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Is that what Chip’s going to do? Just call for people to be fired. I mean, I guess if it didn’t work when *he* got the job…

Does this turn people off? I feel like it would?

Well, they’re not going to remove him from office, they picked Hargett so he would refuse to do his job and thus ensure that the elections would be rigged for the GOP.

I agree with his sentiment, to be sure.

    Hey Hurtt

First of all, I thought your ass was leaving so that we wouldn’t have to read your dim-wit tripe anymore.

Second of all, what do you know about getting fired. You never even got hired. So shut the hell up (it is called counting to 50).

Tre must go before the disenfranchisement of the Tennessee voter begins.

    Love

    Filo -

What sucks about the power of the Internet is that you still have to read my “dim-wit tripe,” and I still have to read yours.

And what’s this about never getting hired? I am not sure what you’re talking about? Please… do enlighten me.

To Chester - what turns me off is the GOP sucking so badly at their collective jobs that Forrester sounds like a broken record calling for accountability.

I mean, we’ve got John Ensign AND Mark Sanford BOTH having affairs, we’ve got Sarah Palin resigning with more ethics complaints than you can shake a stick at, and you’ve got TN Republicans embarrassing themselves and the state so frequently that Chip Forrester sounds like he’s repeating himself.

    Because he is.

And here’s the deal - if the GOP doesn’t clean its own house, you can rest assured that the voters will do it for them.

Rep. Gary Moore, a Democrat, recognized, like Tre Hargett, the shortcomings of the original bill and tried to change it this session so the law would be doable. What Tre is pointing out has been recognized on a bipartisan basis. Unfortunately, some are now trying to make it partisan. I have alot more faith in Moore and Hargett than Mr. Forrester.

Hey Rep.Dunn considering you were thrown out of leadership and then the house made historic gains in your absence. We will take advice from others.
    But Thanks anyway

    YES!!!!! THANK YOU PAUL!!!!!
IT IS ABOUT TIME SOMEBODY SAID THAT ABOUT DUNN.
Does he ever wonder why he was thrown out?
It is because you were a horrible leader.
Go cut some trees and shut up

“Sec. Hargett today awarded Sen. Ketron a medallion for all his legislative effort to delay the Tennessee Voter Confidence Act and to kill the state’s Ethics Commission.”

“With federal lawsuit against 8 Republican election commissioners” pending, seems obvious Hargett’s dragging his feet on paper ballots isn’t about saving the taxpayer’s money.
