McNair Death Close Second To 9/11

Posted on July 9, 2009 at 12:18 pm

According George Plaster:

Plaster said the week of September 11, 2001 and the terrorist attacks was the worst thing he has had to cover and McNair’s death is a close second.

“I keep thinking, when we go to a commercial break, ‘When is this week going to end? This is not really what I signed up for,’” he said. “I guess all of us signed up for the choice department of life, which is what sports is supposed to be and you talk about a cold thing of water being thrown in your face, this is way different than what I’m used to.”

Really? Steve McNair’s murder is the worst thing next to 3,000 people being killed by radical terrorists, on U.S. soil?

I think a bit less of Plaster now.

Like everyone, I was shocked by McNair’s murder. No one deserves that, and I feel bad for his family - and Kazemi’s. But to compare those two events is a bit stunning to me.

Jesus … he wasn’t comparing the two in that sense … just in terms of his radio show …….
