Adam Dread Is Big On The Island

The former Councliman’s crusade against guns in bars continues to make news in Massachusetts:

“Nobody really saw this coming. We didn’t see any way that something that stupid could pass. It’s an embarrassment to our state. I’m a DUI lawyer, I’m in the NRA, I’m a Republican. I defend stupid people a lot. But I don’t want to defend or ever even hear about a firearm incident in a bar,” he said.

He’s also concerned that similar laws could be passed elsewhere, including Massachusetts. Aside from the potential tragedies, it would be death sentence to the tourist economy. While individual restaurants can prohibit firearms, many will probably choose not to for fear of losing business, he said.

Permit holders in MA can already carry in bars.

    Therein lies the rub.

That’s all we’ve ever wanted; put your money where your mouth is just like all other businesses.

You don’t mind loading up the drunks and sending them out in 5000 pound weapons to run over the rest of us.

God forbid you lose a few dollars.

Finally, why is no one talking about the legal guns already in the bars? Owners, managers, and bouncers can and are legally carrying in Tennessee.
