Good Riddance To Bad Rubbish

Posted on July 6, 2009 at 8:58 am

Mack celebrates the end of Sarah Palin’s political career:

Many Americans watched her and hoped that, vicariously at least, they too could rise to power and fame or wealth without really having to be competent at something. How much more American is it than to simply proclaim that you are this, and then blame everyone else when it turns out you are that. If that reads as overly judgemental, bear in mind I consider myself as American as anyone. It takes one to know one.

That said, I take some comfort knowing that even someone as shrewd and calculating as Mrs. Palin will eventually, publicly, reach her level of incompetence. It took a perfect political storm to propel her from obscurity to national fame, a blip in the Matrix, maybe, but thankfully only that, a blip, and one that self-corrected pretty quickly.

some people just can not understand that Palin resigned as Gov because media and liberal hate mongers will not let her do her job. That and the fact that all these frivolous lawsuits have cost her hundreds of thousands of dollars and millions of dollars in tax payer money. She quit for the betterment of her state, not for herself. I do not think she will run for Prez but I do think she will run for House or Senate in 2010.

Then what kind of gutless weakling is she? The criticism directed at her is by no means unprecedented in intensity.

It never stopped Hillary Clinton. She knows a little something about being a fighter.

She was unwilling to be “handled” and under her own management, she fits in the wilds of Alaska. Alaskans have disdain for the lower 48 because we are so soft and law abiding. We like their scenery.
