The first Democratic gubernatorial starts talking first quarter financials with reporters.

In the Democratic primary race, only Nashville businessman Ward Cammack, who said he has raised “north of $200,000” had any preliminary figures available.

Geez, he was outraised two-to-one by Bill Gibbons, who was outraised three-to-one by his nearest Republican competitor. That’s pathetic.

At this rate, Cammack will equal Haslam’s $3.8M in about 17 years.

Unfortunate that money drives the entire election. Cammack is a smart candidate but with little name recognition.
