Posted on July 1, 2009 at 9:34 pm

From Dru Fuller:

The Tennessee Regulatory Authority (TRA) directors elected Sara Peery Kyle to serve as chairman of the agency which is responsible for regulating the state’s privately-owned utilities.

Sara Kyle is the wife of Senate Democratic Leader Jim Kyle, a possible 2010 candidate for governor. She is also the niece of the late Tennessee Governor Frank G. Clement.

Kyle succeeds former Chairman Eddie Roberson who served as interim chair for the remainder of a term vacated by now secretary of state Tre Hargett.
