Guns And Bars Lawsuit Filed
By Kleinheider Posted on July 1, 2009 at 10:20 am“I would not file a lawsuit that I did not think had merit,” said Smith, whose legal research showed proponents of the new state law quoted faulty statistics regarding guns in bars policies nationwide. “I think we have a substantial claim for public nuisance and unconstitutionality and illegality of this statute as violating constitutional and statutory rights, particularly due process and the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Act.”

I wonder if this had occured after the law went into effect if the family could sue the resturant if they DID NOT ALLOW firearms in the resturant.
Hermitage, Tenn. - Metro police said an everyday argument turned deadly at a bar overnight.
Around 10 p.m. Sunday night at the Double E Bar & Grill on Lebanon Pike, two men started a verbal argument inside the bar. Both men were kicked out of the establishment and took their fight into the parking lot.
The fight in the parking lot escalated, and a man in his early 50s was stabbed and killed.
.. Nuff said.
