McKensie Speaks: The Full Video
Posted on at 6:44 pmWatch McKensie Morrison’s full interview with Cara Kumari in which she successfully takes any heat on her and places it back on Paul Stanley.
Jeff Woods shares his view:
Consider this interview a parting gift to the legislature from Stanley, the lech. If he only could have resigned with a little class, this never would have happened. Instead, he decided to blame the woman, even if she is only a 22-year-old college student, and now here’s McKensie Morrison coming across as all sweet and innocent on TV and making the entire legislature look like a gang of creeps and perverts … again.
Lobby Shop Sends Forged Docs To Influence Pol
Posted on at 6:35 pmVia the American Prospect:
Before the big House vote on the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES), Rep. Tom Perriello had a tough choice to make. Perriello won his seat by a small margin and worried about attacks from Republicans campaigning against the bill. Ultimately, he voted for it, in part because he believes a sustainable energy industry is the future of his district’s economy.
But even as he was considering how to approach the legislation, he received at least five letters from local constituency groups opposing the bill, including a local Hispanic advocacy organization and the area branch of the NAACP. There was just one one small problem: The letters were forgeries; at least one came from Washington, D.C.-based lobbyists Bonner & Associates.

Gingrich Group Raising Mad Funds
Posted on at 5:19 pmFormer House Speaker Newt Gingrich’s political organization reported Friday it had raised more than $8 million in the first half of the year, a cash haul that significantly dwarfs that which other high-profile Republicans have raised in the same time period.
But Gingrich’s organization, American Solutions for Winning the Future, is incorporated as a 527 group, and is not subject to the same contribution limits as political action committees — the type of organizations most politicians spearhead, including fellow potential presidential hopefuls Mitt Romney, Sarah Palin, and Mike Huckabee.
McKensie Morrison Speaks
Posted on at 5:09 pmTo Cara Kumari:
“It was instead of, ‘Can you run this down to the copy machine?’ and ‘Can you get me a cup of coffee?’ to ‘Can you pick up my dry cleaning?’ and ‘Do you need some extra money? Can you clean my apartment,’” said Morrison.
She said the situation started to get out of control. Once she realized what the relationship had become, Morrison said she ended it.
“I specifically sat down and said, ‘I can not do this anymore. I don’t want to do this.’ I know that Sen. Stanley has a family. I have a family. People look up to him as a figure. He’s a senator,” said Morrison.
But a disc of pictures that she took with Stanley soon appeared.
After getting the first text message from her boyfriend, Joel Watts, saying he had the pictures, Stanley then approached her and asked her to text Watts back.
Then, she said Stanley got a phone call from Watts and he came to her.
“Sen. Stanley contacted me and said he’s asking for an apology, ‘What does he really want?’ And I said, ‘I don’t know.’ I saw the text message said X news company is willing to give $7,500 for the disc of pictures. He said $7,500? Tell him I’ll give him $8,000,” said Morrison.
That’s the last she heard of the situation until the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation showed up at her office to question her.
“They told me to hand them my ID, my parking permit, get my belongings and to leave the building. They also took my cell phone,” said Morrison.
Robin’s Rapid Response On Forrester
Posted on at 4:58 pmIn response to this post by from the TNDP, Robin Smith spokesman Mark Winslow said the following:
“Following on his last personal attack that had Democrats distancing themselves from his outlandish rhetoric, Chip Forrester has another irrational screed about Robin Smith in the context of judicial nominees and legislation in the Tennessee General Assembly.
By attacking her on the issue of a Supreme Court nomination, Chip Forrester has shown again that Robin Smith is the liberals’ greatest fear when it comes to their dream of giving Nancy Pelosi control of the Third District seat. This trend of repeated personal attacks demonstrates that Democrats view Robin Smith as the clear frontrunner for the Republican nomination and to win next November. While the Democrats chief spokesman rants about issues unrelated to the House of Representatives, Robin is working hard to make sure that she wins the Republican nomination and keeps the voices and values of East Tennesseans represented in Congress.”
Funny And True
Posted on at 4:34 pmRod Williams explains why he thinks a common joke about Democrats is funny and true:
Statistics show that Republicans are personally more generous, that they contribute more to charities, than Democrats. Now, one might argue that Republicans have more money to give than Democrats. Or, one might argue that since Republicans attend church more regularly that a lot of that charitable giving is to churches which may be paying high salaries to ministers and staff and building grand buildings and is not really charitable giving at all. Nevertheless, the statistics indicate those who call themselves Republicans give more to charity than Democrats.
Dump Bart Gordon
Posted on at 4:30 pmPolitical Lipskip is tired of his congressman:
This piece of work has got to go. I will do everything that I can, which is not much given the lack of money and power I have, to ensure that he will no longer serve my district. Hopefully the people of the 6th district will see this liberal for what he really is. He voted for the stimulus. He voted for Cap and Trade. And now he is assisting the Progressives with their agenda in government takeover of health care. He is part of the problem that, if left to running the government, will bankrupt the country and destroy the freedoms and liberties that we all enjoy.
If you are from the Tennessee 6th District, around Smyrna and Murfreesboro, then visit and support a website called Dump Bart Gordon. They will inform you of his voting record and let you know when protests are scheduled to let him know how we feel about his liberal voting record.
Haslam And Social Media
Posted on at 4:27 pmJohn Scott gives him a Fail:
I’ve already noted that since Bill Hobbs left, the Democrats are rejoicing because no one else at the TNGOP knows how to effectively use social media and they appear to have rejected its use.
Is the Haslam campaign eschewing new media as well?
I also note that Mr. Haslam has not added any new posts to his blog since May 27th.

Decentralize Or Die Tryin’
Posted on at 3:15 pmIf you value liberty. If you want your children to be able to live in a free nation that represents your views, your values, your culture, and your priorities. Then you must take steps to insure that whatever form of government you choose (if any) is administered at the local level.
In the end, we will have to re-visit the notions of “one nation” and “indivisible.” I know this sounds beyond the pale for most of you. But think about this…Every elected representative, when asked, will claim to be against high taxes, deficit spending, and curtailing civil liberties. Yet, for the last 100 years, that’s exactly what we have gotten. There’s been no deviation from that course…Higher Taxes, Bigger Government, More Spending, More Borrowing, and Fewer Liberties. Any school child can tell you that actions speak louder than words; and the actions of our elected representatives has been in direct opposition to their words.
Alexander Gets The Support Of The Forrester Wing Of The Democratic Party
Posted on at 3:13 pm“Sen. Alexander,” Forrester added, “shows he truly understands the need to unite our country and state so we can focus on real problems that face us.
“I just wish Republicans like Ramsey, Corker, Rep. Stacey Campfield, Congressman Marsha Blackburn and congressional candidate Robin Smith would focus their energy on solving problems, not trying to divide people with dishonest rhetoric and shameful scare tactics.
Rural Transit Gets A Stimulus Boost
Posted on at 2:46 pmFrom the Times Free Press:
Gov. Phil Bredesen announced today that 12 rural transit agencies in Tennessee will get $17.9 million in federal stimulus funds.
The Southeast Tennessee Human Resources Agency will receive $1.5 million in funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act for rural transportation services.
SETHRA provides public transportation services for residents in Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Polk, Rhea and Sequatchie counties.
Rep. Cooper Gets MovedOn Health Care
Posted on at 2:27 pmJeff Woods has the missive:
The heart of President Obama’s health-care reform plan–the public health insurance option–is under attack. And your representative, Jim Cooper, has a chance to join the fight to save it.
Earlier this week, a small group of conservative Blue Dog Democrats forced a compromise that would badly weaken the public option.
Then yesterday, 57 representatives released a letter saying the deal is unacceptable–that “they simply cannot vote” for a bill that doesn’t include a strong public health insurance option.1
But as of last night, Rep. Cooper hadn’t signed the letter.
Can you call him right away and urge him to sign the Progressive Caucus letter demanding a strong public health insurance option?
Frist Health Care Bona Fides Questioned
Posted on at 2:03 pmBy Counterpunch:
Former Senator Bill Frist, interviewed on public radio (July 29), reminded listeners of his solemn commitment to universal health care while explaining its implausibility, at this juncture, due to “affordability” issues. He would know.
The retired Rightist leader, who put aside his career as a heart-lung transplant surgeon to represent his family interests in the US Senate, is part of a health care clan that pioneered for-profit hospitals in the US back in 1968. That was just three years after Medicare was born, with the Frist family, undoubtedly seeing Bolshevism at the gates of Nashville, doing its part to blunt America’s only successful national health program, then in its infancy. Talk about visionaries.
Huck Behind Mitt And Sarah In PAC Race
Posted on at 2:00 pmThe former Republican presidential candidate e-mailed supporters Thursday night announcing he has raised a little over $300,000 in the first six months of the year, a cash haul that is only about 20 percent of the $1.6 million former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney took in the same period.
It’s also about a third of what former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has raised since January.
