Robin Smith Will Make A Major Announcement July 1st

Posted on June 30, 2009 at 9:52 am

She doesn’t say what it is but I’m guessing it rhymes with “bunning for mongress.”

UPDATE:
Tom Humphrey with more:

In a list of campaign stops distributed to media, Mark Winslow, who served as chief of state for the state Republican party, is designated as contact person for Smith. In an interview, Winslow said he left his party post last month and is “helping Robin out as she goes through the decision-making process.”

Obviously, Smith is not making a trip through the district to announce she’s given up the idea of running for Congress. But Winslow said she’s not announcing today.

“We all have to be FEC compliant,” he said. “Nothing is official until tomorrow.”

    Shunning for Progress?
    Sunning with Fog rest?
    Nunning the Bog dress?

    Maybe Schmongress… but not mogress.

    FEC compliant?

Does that mean she didn’t want to have to report on fundraising until the next report is due on October 15th? (The current reporting period ends at midnight tonight — how convenient).

Or does FEC compliant have to do with who is paying for her current staff? Beats me.

If Robin’s opponents Gobble and Fleishmann don’t show much money raised, then it’s a good strategy. But if either one of them show a pot load of money, then she has made a tactical error waiting until after the June 30th deadline.

    Should be fun to watch.
