Beavers has been making noise to this effect recently. Beavers has been in the Senate since 2002. She succeeded Democrat Bob Rochelle. While the district has trended Republican in recent years. It is not a layup hold for the GOP.
Beavers is one of the most conservative members of the state Senate being the lone member of the body to vote against the budget passed last week.

I would vote for her.
Go Mae.
Good riddance. One less legislator trying to drag us back to the 19th century.
She is the last person we need running Wilson County — too radical.
She is also untrustworthy. Someone needs to tell these republicans that to speak on morals and ethics ,they must live them and be them.
I agree she is to radical but that’s is just political posturing……….
At least, we will have her out of the TN Senate. We can thank her for sponsoring “Guns in Parks.” I am glad that she will be leaving. Maybe, we can get Diane Black to run for Mayor of Gallatin.
2 of you have used the word radical like a curse word. Care to cite specifics where you think she is radical?
