Sen. Black Says She Followed Procedure On Goforth

Posted on June 17, 2009 at 7:59 am

And she is backed up by those who know:

Connie Ridley, director of legislative administration, said under state policy a first-time violation such as Goforth’s is grounds for a reprimand, but a person risks being fired after a second violation.

“If the behavior continues, then that places that person in a position for termination,” Ridley said.

Honestly, how much longer do we need to deal with the Goforth situation? I dont for one find it shocking it happened and I am 100% sure it will continue behind closed doors on BOTH sides of the isle. TRUST ME, Ive seen it.

Why is no one, no blogger acting as fast as they did with this story, act just as fast and spread the word and the information about something that is happening that really matters: Like health care reform. The blog should have a story about everyday, every hour about the movements in Congress that ARE happening day to day dealing with health care reform.

Then what is the purpose of the policy each employee signs stating if they misuse the state email and/or state computers, it is grounds for termination?

Please AC. Im begging you to get on board and get bloggers on board with talking about health care reform. This is the MOST pressing issue in Congress right now. There are numerous campaigns across the state and one im a working on NOW that have been putting in work to aid the President. Thats what should be on people minds first and foremost. I will leave my email for you, and i will write an op-ed for you if that is what it will take, myself and the communications director for our campaign have been trying for weeks, months to get health care reform at the forefront of the conversation and not this tedious back and forth nit picking over a racist pic.

Real Tennesseeans need real change in health care and NOW!!

I salute you for your efforts to try to tone this down, but there is sooooo much more that effects our state and our great country.
