Bredesen Goes South Park On The TNDP
By Kleinheider Posted on April 23, 2009 at 3:29 pmAndy Axel breaks down the news of this morning:
My read: He just told the party executive committee and “the grassroots” to take a flying [leap] at a rolling donut.
If this works as stated, TNDP would be dependent upon this PAC of local Blue Dogs and the well-heeled good-ol’-boy network for money, strategy and talent, and that PAC will not be accountable to the Executive Committee nor the TNDP leadership.
I recommend that they call themselves the Cartman Democrats, as in: “Screw you guys.”

He forgot the “I’m going home”
or in this case it would be “I’d go home if I could jump the hole I’ve blasted in my front yard.”
Frankly, the Chipinista are being juvenile, stamping their feet and pitching a fit.
Chip Forrester is incompetent. After the past 90 days, only someone delusional would argue otherwise. The party elders have come up with a reasonable solution.
Now the children - That’s you, Chipinista - had best grow up and help us clean up the mess they creaated.
Yes, those same party elders who LOST the House and LOST the Senate, and who are making it ever easier for the Goopers to take everything next year - which I suspect the lamest duck of them all wants, so he can pay off his GOP backers.
Not only is this not the end, it’s barely the beginning, Pinkston, er, Dr. J.
LWC, if I were Pinkston, would I still be getting on your case after Bredesen - my boss - brokered a truce with Chip?
Grow up, Steve. This is the best deal you are going to get. Chip should be removed from office for dereliction of duties.
Frankly, I’m through arguing with you because you are delusional. You refuse to even respond to questions of Chip’s competence, although the evidence that he cannot handle the job is overwhelming.
Why don’t you get on board with cleaning up the mess you and Chip created? Or are you so immature that you would rather continue to pitch fits because things didn’t work out as you dreamed they would?
As for your threats, Steve, don’t make me laugh. You and the Chipinista have been crushed like insignificant (and incompetent) bugs for months now. Do you think anyone fears you?
We’re not the ones who created this mess. We didn’t lose the House and the Senate, we’re trying to create support at a grassroots level so we can get them back, so Davis, Tanner, Gordon, & co. won’t be redistricted into lobbyist jobs.
Yet, you mock us at every turn, when we’re the ones who are trying to save the damn party. When you don’t give people a real choice in these races, how do you think they’re going to go? Do y’all not understand that if you only give people a choice between a pseudo-Gooper and a real one, they’ll take the real one every time?
So now, Phil will help some barely-to-the-left-of-Gibbons crony to be the party’s nominee, and we’ll have Governor Ramsey in 2011. The business people who y’all take money from don’t care, why should they? They’re republicans at heart in any event.
And just what do you think we want here, gay marriage parades in Perry County? No, we want legislators who pay attention to what’s going on in their districts (like our Shelby folks do) and pay attention to the economy, and to helping working people.
Nothing Phil Bredesen has done during his term has shown me that he cares about anyone but himself or his friends. Despite the fact he is the lamest duck we’ve had since Blanton, he wants to run the party in perpetuity.
Good luck with that, there won’t be much left after he’s done with it.
So, Wanker, where the hell have you been? You keep blaming everybody else for Democrat’s losing elections and then you turn around and act like some big Democrat playah? Where were you, big boy?
You really are delusional if you think that moonbeam shit you throw around is going to win elections in Tennessee. Act like Nancy Pelosi all you like. See where it gets you.
Tell us how that conference call went that the Tennessean is talking about. Sounds like it didn’t go too well.
Gay marriage parades in Perry County? That would be something to watch LWC. As far as the main point goes. Even though I would love for this to continue…my guess is the ol Chipper will resign soon in the name of party unity much like Freeman did a few weeks ago.
Man. Look at Bill Fletcher… I mean Dr. Jellyfinger. He’s just like the damn Republicans bitching about Obama when he’s not even been in office for 100 days.
The uber-drama over Chip is so fucking pathetic and stupid. And all coming from someone who claims to be a Democrat.
[...] And then there is this. [...]
Hey, Heatseeker, your approach hasn’t worked in almost 20 years and is more responsible for us being in the situation we are today. When you can’t tell the difference between a non-urban Democrat and Republican, there is something fundamentally wrong.
Forget about the 3 G’s. Playing by their rules and on their court, we lose. We have to create a new way of doing things. If Bredesen and his cronies weren’t so freaking concerned about keeping us off their lawn, they would realize that the manure they’re using is killing the grass.
Oh, need i remind everyone that Chip has been in less than 100 days. Can’t we at least follow his way, help him pursue his agenda, not work against him, and give him a chance to fail at an election like we have the previous 4 or 5 chairs?
Wow, third-party option is happening faster than I thought. Tennessee leads.
Guys, you’re being led around by the nose. This whole thing has been nothing more than old school GOP ratf*cking. They’re slanting the news by pushing perceived sore spots, preying on fears and factions, and spinning folks around in circles. Think about it: Cui Bono? Who benefits? Not Bredesen he’s out soon. Not Forrester. And NOT the TNDP.
Who loses? Bredesen, Forrester, the TNDP and every democrat and progressive in the state. They know we’re excited for the next cycle and that we’ve got the ability to take back the Senate and House so they’re preempting that by demoralizing and turning as many against each other as they can. It’s a charade. I repeat: No democrat — insider or outsider — has ANYTHING to gain from this. Republicans, OTOH, have EVERYTHING to gain.
And another thing… don’t you think it’s at all curious that these trolls show up at the EXACT moment Hobbs ‘retires’ from blogging? Come on!
