    Nice try, Jeff.

But there’s really only one way to find out. Let’s see what bumperstickers are on the cars at the Tea Parties.

Look, you guys are going to have to grow a pair at some point. Either you’re going to come out of the closet and admit to being Republicans or you’re going to cut and run and keep claiming to be “independents”, despite all evidence to the contrary.

I wonder what the mainstream Republicans will think once the Teabaggers decide to bash Bush’s TARP “socialism” plan while the cameras are rolling? I mean, a truly “independent” Teabagger would condemn Bush’s banker bailout, right?

    Right?

Um. I’ve seen plenty of that.

But as the link says…”But some will only see what they want to see.”

Obviously GOP’ers are going to be drawn to the cause (duh), but it’s not something created by GOP leaders. From what I’ve seen, most people involved are disgusted with both parties.

Of course, I say that there shouldn’t be any currently serving politicians speaking at these events, but the individuals that run the event can do whatever they want. The ideals behind it will be the same.

The far left would love to brand the Tea Parties as a Right Wing movement. It is easier for them to brush off if it is organized and funded by Republicans. Fact is, the folks at most of the Tea Parties would vote out either party right now. I think the feeling is that they are fed up with Big Government in general and this is likely just the beginning of something larger to come. I say VOTE OUT ALL OF THE BUMBS AND PUT IN PLACE TERM LIMITS! 12 years is enough.
