For Serious

Posted on April 6, 2009 at 6:05 pm

The TNGOP.org pokes a bit of fun at the state Democratic party for writing a blog post about their logo:

The use of upper case letters conveys the idea of a party that stands proud on time-tested traditions and proven principles, while the dot symbolizes our small spot on this large planet we all call home, and the use of italicized lowercase letters - leaning to the right, of course - is meant to communicate a party that is at one with people and leaning toward a better future, serious about its principles yet not taking itself too seriously.

Because nothing says “we don’t take ourselves too seriously” quite like writing a blog post about your own logo.

Does no one else here think the emphasis on “DP” is a little risque? Look it up in urban dictionary if you don’t believe me.

And nothing says “Don’t take us seriously” than a blog post … about a blog post about a logo.

That’s funny. I still thinks Chairgimp Chipper held one of them, there “sal-lons” to work up that sissy boy blog post on his logo. Reckon Chipper realizes he’s a living, breathing display of self-parody?

Hey, TNGOP, got one criticism: you used the colors of the Alabama Crimson Freakin’ Tide.
