Short Answer: No

Rep. Henry Fincher refuses to apologize to Rep. Brian Kelsey at the request of Rep. Glen Casada. Chairman Casada is not pleased:

“Mr. Speaker I would just like to remind the body that there is no room for disrespect, for making fun of people, for mocking people. This is a body of respect. If respect is not shown on the floor then maybe that individual does need to be in the chamber.”

From what I viewed when Speaker Williams was sworn in would have meritted more of an apology than Rep. Fincher speaking the truth.

This is not the first time that rep.Fincher has been rude. You can state the fact or opinion with out being arrogant. This is not the role model or representative that we need.

Mr. Fincher appears to have no regards nor repsect for anyone. Last week, I witnessed him texting on his cell phone, reading a newspaper, shaking his head with disgust, and smirking at a fellow legislator when he was presenting a bill, that LORD Fincher did not agree with. This is not the behavior I seek from an elected official. It is juvenile, and has no place in the halls of our most repsectful capitol hill. I’m sure his constituents would love to see their elected offical acting like an spoiled Frat Boy at a weekly meeting.

There was more to this exchange that the public would not know about. Earlier in the week kelsey acting as sub-committee chairman refused to place a couple of Democratic bills on notice to be heard, he does not have that authority to make that decision and Fincher and the Chairman of the committee Kent Coleman called him on it, Leadership on both sides got involved and Kelsey put the bills on notice but was not happy about it. Then kelsey called Finchers bill a ruse ( a lie ) and Fincher responded. Hank Fincher is one of the outstanding, and inteligent Representative on either side of the Aslie. He is also very tough and aggressive and he doesn’t suffer fools to well, If you are going to take him on you should be prepared for a fight.

Is there a more smug, pretentious, hypocritical and mean-spirited little poseur in the legislature than young Kelsey?

Well, thanks, Fincher, for sponsoring the immigration enforcement-demagnetization bills. See if you can get with the Republicans and do more. You and Kelsey should surely be able to work together on this.
