John McCain attempts to put the Afghani front in the War on Terror in perspective:

“It’s [Afghanistan's] not as tough as Iraq, and don’t let anyone tell you that it is, because when we started the [2007] surge, Iraq was virtually in a state of collapse.”

Just tell that to the British, the Russians and others who’ve gone into Afghanistan in the past…

This coming from a guy who crashed his plane 7 times, got shot down by the enemy, allowed himself to be taken prisoner, and then cracked under torture - giving classified intelligence to the enemy.
