Rep. Stacey Campfield says his idea to cut the food tax by replacing lost revenue with a porn sin tax is catching on in other states.

    Republicans just kill me. On the surface they are always against taxes, but underneath they are always scheming to stick it to the taxpayers. These “revenue neutral” ideas always wind up being a boondoggle in which its the taxpayers who get screwed….pardon the pun. Why lower one tax by creating another one? Because a few years down the road the first one will be raised in order to meet revenue needs of the State. How about an idea from Mr. Campfield that lowers the food tax by reducing government expenditures. Is there actually a republican in Tenn. that could muster the nerve to try such a thing? I think not.
