Is Chip Forrester A Tool Of Gary Odom?

Posted on February 23, 2009 at 7:46 am

Jeff Woods gets in on the controversy over the Republican donations of the new Tennessee Democratic Party treasurer:

So the party has itself a fat-cat treasurer who has helped Republicans beat Democrats, who thinks the state shouldn’t try to make commercial real-estate tycoons like himself pay their fair share of taxes in a time of fiscal meltdown. Pith predicts Forrester can now officially forget about fund-raising help from the governor. Already, as Schelzig reports, Bredesen aide Will Pinkston has told Forrester to stop trying to raise money using Bredesen’s name for the Governor’s Roundtable.

Yes, Forrester has definitely stepped in it this time. How do you think his young liberal supporters feel about this new party alignment? On the other hand, what does the governor’s office expect Forrester to do? Rebuffed by Bredesen, he runs into Odom’s arms. He has no where else to turn.

I’m not sure Chip is a tool of Jerry Odom so much as he’s just a tool, period. But I suppose that’s better than being a stool. So he’s got that going for him. Which is nice.

Gary Odom, Phil Bredesen, Bill Freeman, all these names really miss the point. The job of the TNDP chair is to raise money and keep a glove in the face of the TNGOP. So far, I am not seeing much evidence of either. Hopefully, Chip will release his end of Feb numbers early to show that he is really plugging away over there while the internet hums away.

Harrison, I am now convinced that you are one of the party hacks who were supposed to try and strongarm the TNDP Executive Committee members into voting for Charles Bone.

I can tell because you’ve singlemindedly focused your attention on attacking Chip Forrester since his election. You post a lot of comments giving detailed knowledge (a lot of it factually wrong, btw) about how the party machinery supposedly works, and you have been an unapolegetic defender of all the anti-Forrester electeds. Even while they themselves have obviously decided to move on, you still attack Chip with as much ferocity as right-wing fucktards like Heatseeker.

Now, when the big story here today is that Ward Cammack is a born-again Democrat and has opened fire on the bankrupted values of the Republicans, you’re only concern is to attack Chip Forrester’s new Treasurer?

Come on. The TNDP Treasurer is actually a problem for you? Because it isn’t for anyone else.

Why do you give a damn about Chip Forrester? And don’t say some stupid bullshit about him not being able to unite the party or not being able to raise money because you know better. This is a personal grudge for you and I for one would like to know why.

    Who do you work for?

    spazhole,

I am now convinced that you work for Chipper. Yes, you are one of the sleep-deprived undergrads with overgrown toenails that Chipper closets away in a corner office. He dispatches you to the nearest Starbucks to fetch his soy chai latte.

Now he has you furiously typing away on your bitching little laptop because he’s in trouble.

Face it, spazhole, no one give a rancid rat’s ass who Harrison is. The issue is that Odom is stuffing the TNDP leadership with his “bizpig” cronies - who, by the way, have given tens of thousands of dollars to the Republicans.

You better quit worrying about Harrison and start worrying about your party.

    Heatseekin’ (read: Viagra-addicted) blogbuddy,

Why are you racing to the defense of Harrison?

Are you worried about him getting “outed” as a staffer who could get in some hot water for his nonstop tireades against Chip?

I still don’t see that you’ve responded to me, Harrison. And I know you’re reading this…

Ah, now I’m totally convinced that you work for Chipper, spazhole. Only one of the sleep-deprived undergrads with overgrown toenails would think that a “staffer” would get in trouble for attacking Chip.

Listen, spazhole, if a staffer were online ripping your precious lord and master, Chipper, has it occured to you that he or she could be doing so with the consent of his or her boss? If that were the case, wouldn’t that be another indication that Chipper is TOTALLY ASS FUCKED.

Spazhole, I know Chipper comes in your little closet periodically and assures you that his only detractors are phantom “staffers” that are gonna get in big trouble when they get “outted” for picking on big, ol’ powerful Chip. But it ain’t so. I’ve never even worked for a political campaign. I probably wouldn’t if you paid me.

But let’s talk about a staffer. Saturday’s AP story included a little nugget from a “Bredesen aide,” Will Pickston. Did you read it, spazhole? Pickston told Chipper to gently bend over as far as he can and ram his goofy head up his crusty ass.

Hey, heat. No one “works” for Chip. They volunteer for Chip. TNDP has no money. Thanks to Chip.

My bad, TennRod. You are totally correct. I think Chipper occassionally throws a few wads of whole wheat bread and a few shreds of arugula into the closet full of sleep-deprived undergrads with overgrown toenails. That’s all the payment they get.

Seriously, though, this Odom issue once again points out Chipper’s fundamental dishonesty. Everything is a sham with this guy. He says he wants a new day at TNDP. New shiny, happy people holding hands and not repeating the mistakes of the past . . .

But he’s the puppet of the knucklehead that ran the House Democrat’s election efforts in 2008. Odom was the captain of the Titanic, now he runs the ENTIRE Tennessee Democrat Party.

If I were a Democrat, I would move to another state.
