Sounds Like The Boot To Me
Posted on February 6, 2009 at 4:25 pmAs Ken Whitehouse reported, Robin Smith emailed members of the Republican Caucus in the state House asking for their input regarding whether Speaker Kent Williams should remain a Republican. We don’t know what the members said to Smith or how many even responded. But what we do know is what she said to the members after the response were received:
Caucus Members:
Thank you to those of you who took the time to share your thoughts and views on the matter of Kent Williams. Your opinions are valuable to me as we work through a difficult process.
As you know, in my prior communication I requested members to provide examples of Mr. Williams’ past activities in support of the Caucus or the TRP. I regret to inform you that in the responses I received there was not a single stated example of assistance Kent Williams has provided to a Republican candidate for the House, to the House Republican Caucus or to the Tennessee Republican Party.
This has been a difficult experience for all of us and it is time to move forward. On Monday I will announce my finding on the challenges to Representative Williams’ bona fide status then we will turn our attention to where it should be. For you, it will be to address the serious issues facing our state. I have every confidence that our leadership and members will address these issues with the same common sense conservative principles you expressed to the voters. I and my staff will build on the remarkable success of 2008 to strengthen our majority and make sure Tennesseans have the government they voted for.
I look forward to the work ahead.
Sincerely,
Robin T. Smith
Chairman
Tennessee Republican Party

Ahh, how sweet, she’s gonna give Odom back his Majority Leader status. And it ain’t even Valentine’s Day yet.
Could the boot possibly be aimed so it would penetrate an orifice on the speaker’s backside?
Odum already has the majority status with his “Chosen One”.
Robin needs a grammar lesson: “My staff and I….”
Did you notice she mentioned herself first. That’s appropriate, huh? It’s all about her, while she’s losing support of normal, moderate R’s.
They eat their own… how does fried Republican taste, Mrs. Smith?
