Did Former TNDP Chair Randy Button Give Money To Republicans?

Ramsey’s ego also extended beyond this to claim that former Democratic party chair Randy Button had donated $10,000 to the Senate Republicans. Apparently, this was a bit of a stretch. According to Valerie Yancey, co-Treasurer for the Joint Republican Caucus, Mr. Button was at a fundraiser being held by his consultancy firm (read: Lobbying Firm), but didn’t write any checks to the caucus. I spoke with Randy the other day, who confirmed that this was not the case, and that the fundraiser was held because his clients, along with his Republican partner in the firm, wanted to meet with the Republican leadership.
