The New House Majority Made Lincoln Davis’ Mind Up For Him

Posted on November 10, 2008 at 2:41 pm

Jeff Woods talks to state Senate Democratic Caucus Political Director Mark Brown who argues that Democrats in Tennessee only do well when the top of the ticket is strong. Woods points out why this will be important two years from now:

The above analysis makes it all the more imperative for the party to field a strong candidate for governor in 2010 against Bill Frist, the likely GOP nominee. The good news for Democrats is that Lincoln Davis is probably now more likely to run. Before the election, he was said to be leaning toward staying in Congress. Now, he might as well run for governor since Republicans in the legislature are about to gerrymander him out of his job in Washington.

Wow. I had not EVEN thought about redistricting. And I’d thought a lot about what the power change will mean. I have to go take a moment.

The Democrats in Tennessee are sooooooooo SCREWED! Tennessee Democrats are enjoying Phil Bredesen’s final two years. Will be like a scene out of a horror movie.

I can’t wait to see Tennessee Democrats sent packing. They will not be back in power for hmmmmm, let’s see…….maybe another 30 years…..First we’ll redistrict their congressmen and they’ll all be gone…..Then we’ll redistrict the legislature and all the rural Dems will go. Then we’ll start running for Nashville council and mayorial position, then they’ll all be gone….

Then pretty much their you have it. Tennessee will be “the base” for developing ALL things Republican.

Goodbye Democrats, you blew it. I hope the little pretty boys running Bredesen’s operation are satisfied. Oh yea, that’s right they’re the same one who ran Al Gore’s as well.

When will you Democrats ever learn. If the team at working get a new coach. Just because some idiot knows a play book doesn’t mean he knows how to call the play.

Stuart Brunson is literally ground zero for the end of the Tennessee Democratic Party. It’s almost like he’s out of one of those movies where he was planted as a sleeper cell to destroy everything from the inside out.
