A World Without Shep

Barack Obama feels the existence of FoxNews has hurt his electoral prospects:

“I am convinced that if there were no Fox News, I might be two or three points higher in the polls,” Obama told me. “If I were watching Fox News, I wouldn’t vote for me, right? Because the way I’m portrayed 24/7 is as a freak! I am the latte-sipping, New York Times-reading, Volvo-driving, no-gun-owning, effete, politically correct, arrogant liberal. Who wants somebody like that?

“I guess the point I’m making,” he went on, “is that there is an entire industry now, an entire apparatus, designed to perpetuate this cultural schism, and it’s powerful. People want to know that you’re fighting for them, that you get them. And I actually think I do.”

And what the hell’s wrong with that? We’ve had the opposite for 8 years, and the country is bankrupt, trapped in a war we never should have entered (Iraq) and not been able to finish the one whe should have (Afghanistan) and all because people liked that idiot George Bush.

Hell, call me an elitist every day and twice on Sunday if we can have someone in the White House whose IQ has a fighting chance at three digits!

The irony is that McCain is the son of privilege in this race, not Obama. Yet McCain understands the “common man” according to his supporters. How if he’s never been one? Bush made that claim too, and look where that got us - possibly the most out-of-touch President since, well, his father.

Imagine that…he is upset because conservatives have ONE station that doesn’t bow when he comes in the room. I have never in my lifetime experienced such media bias. Fox is just as bad as the others most of the time. I thought the news was supposed to be an impartial telling of simple facts. I dare anyone to find me one place that the reporting is unbiased (with all but one channel leaning left).
