NRA Endorses Write-In Skeet Shooter
By Kleinheider Posted on October 6, 2008 at 5:09 pmFrom the Kurita campaign:
(NASHVILLE, TN) — The National Rifle Association (NRA) has endorsed Senator Rosalind Kurita (D-Clarksville) in her write-in campaign for re-election to the 22nd district in the state Senate. The group had endorsed Sen. Kurita during her primary victory and has now endorsed her for the general election in November.
“I am pleased at the continued support of the National Rifle Association and their membership,” said Sen. Kurita. “I fully support the constitutional right to bear arms. It is important that elected officials fight for all constitutional rights, whether they be speech, voting rights or any other of the precious freedoms written into our founding documents.”

Another instance of how the NRA has turned its back on reliable supporters of 2nd amendment rights in favor of being an apparatus of the Republican Party. And I’m saying that as a gun owner.
DG 1:
That doesn’t even make sense. The NRA always endorses the incumbent if they have a good voting record. If you look at the endorsement list, you will find many Democrats endorsed. To say the NRA is an apparatus of the Republican Party is absurd. Yes, the Republican party is pro-Second Amendment whereas Democrats have become the anti-gun party. Just look at Obama’s voting record and the voting record of our House Speaker, Jimmy Naifeh, which killed many significant NRA bills this year.
