Now, If They Had Started Speaking In Tongues Then You Might Have Something
By Kleinheider Posted on September 25, 2008 at 10:08 amBut I don’t see anything that disturbing about this video. Secularists may not understand it but anyone who has been in an evangelical Church certainly does:

I had exactly the same comment about Rev. Wright and black churches.
Perhaps we should start going to church with strangers more often, hm?
Been there, seen that…Evangelicals scare me.
I don’t see the big deal here, really, even if there was speaking in tongues going on.
I agree, Joe. I don’t understand speaking in tongues, even though it is mentioned in the Bible. The denomination I belong to doesn’t practice it, but I won’t condemn its practice by another denomination. But the Apostle Paul does address not speaking in tongues unless there is someone who can interpret what is being said. Evangelicals shouldn’t scare you, Sean.
As individuals, they don’t; as policy makers, they do.
Will the next video that comes out show her snake handling?
I don’t belong to a denomination either that practices it. But it doesnt harm anyone so whats the problem? Oh btw I wonder how many MBNA/BOA credit card holders filed for bankruptcy so far today thanks to the actions of MBNA/BOA’s waterboy Joe Biden?
Sean’s statements do nothing more than promote the notion that the Left are nothing more than God-haters…which is why they tend lately to lose in presidential election years.
God-haters? A little hyperbolic, don’t ya think?
Every one of my aunts on my daddy’s side could speak in tongues, and three of my cousins on that side can. I am not joking. I used to take care of one of my elderly aunts before she died, and sometimes I would go over to her apartment and hear her praying and speaking in tongues inside and I’d have to wait on the porch till she was through — because, honey, I didn’t want that rubbing off on me. English First!
Heh, Donna made a funny.
David,
You’re confusing a mild antipathy towards religious zealots with a hatred of all religion.
Religious bigotry is rampart in the Democratic Party. The liberal elites have true disdain for devoutly religious people. Sean says that evangelicals scare him. Does Southern Baptist Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton scare him? Do black liberation theologists not scare him, with their references to James Cone’s racism?
And they have this image of white protestants that is so off base. Heck, many of these people are Democrats, particularly Pentacostals that live in the country. A girl used to work for me whose dad was a Church of God preacher. He was a Democrat, since “Republicans were for the rich man and the Democrats were for the poor man.”
I just don’t understand the religious bigotry. A while back the media was all in an excited frenzy because the Pope had said that the Catholic church was the only true church. The media thought Protestants would be offended. Richard Land was like, “so basically the Pope is Catholic”. I can’t think of one Protestant that was offended by that. In fact, we respect him for having convictions.
But the secularists have a shitfit when they find out that Pentacostals are praying for homosexuals to become straight. No they aren’t taking up arms against homosexuals or trying to take away their rights, but praying for them. If praying has no power and is just silliness, why in the hell do you guys care?
Maybe you all should try a little tolerance? Seriously, you talk about intolerance and bigotry, but you guys are the most intolerant and bigoted people on the planet.
