Three Amigos Fiesta

Posted on September 22, 2008 at 1:12 pm

A protest by English-Only supporters will take place in on Wednesday in Nashville:

It’s labeled a “surprise,” but there’s a web site up, and fliers were being passed out at the Titans game yesterday, disturbing some critics of the English-only effort.

The website says an “English fist demonstration.” That would be about right.

I was going to point that one out, Mike. A telling typo.

The Web site features the anti-English First folks as dressed in Mexican garb.

Yet there’s nothing racist here. Move along, citizen.

Talk about a stretch. I haven’t seen anything about Bredesen and Haynes being involved in this. It’s a Metro Nashville issue.

The webmaster over there has cleaned up and scrubbed “fist” from the page. However, they’re still having trouble with their own grasp of English themselves. “Stanch”?

This is not a protest. It is racism on parade.

S-townMike: In response to something related you have posted on your site, I would like to refer readers to the Federation for American Immigration Reform’s (FAIR’s) perennial response to the “reports” put out by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which has never heard of an immigration-control group that it didn’t try to label a hate group.
