Selling Government Secrets

Posted on September 8, 2008 at 8:02 am

Stacey Campfield suggests that perhaps selling those state planes whose flight plans contain so many secrets might be a way to go:

It seemed to have helped make one Governor become a political hero for her cutting needless waste in Alaska when she sold one plane. Just think if we decided to sell even 4 of ours. Of course some people think with a new 20 million dollar mansion and party room you need to have 5 planes to cart your friends to exotic locations to go with it.

So, let me get this straight:

Palin put the Alaska state plane on E-Bay and it didn’t sell. So, she asked a broker to sell it and the state wound up losing money on the deal.

Is that the kind of fiscal responsibility Campfield advocates? And he has the cojones to accuse the Democrats of symbolism over substance…
