well… the governors of CA & TX administer states which border Mexico. Gives them both a bit of experience. Alaska (check your map) shares a border with Russia. Remember “Seward’s Folly?” Who did we buy Alaska from?

Due to its strategic location, there are a number of interesting military installations in Alaska. Any Governor of that state will, of necessity, have been briefed on certain things that might be of little concern to say, the Senator from Delaware - who only has to worry about Amtrak service to DC.

Fox News said it last week, too.

To which Canada responded, “What are we, chopped liver?”

Yes I remember George W. Bush using the “Texas shares a border with Mexico” argument to cover for his lack of foreign policy chops, too. Look where THAT got us.

And of course, Palin has only been governor of Alaska for what, all of two years? Big whup. Didn’t even have a passport until last year. Considering McCain’s age and health issues, putting Palin so close to the Oval Office is scarier than Islamofascistamericahatingblackpower Obama to anyone with a lick of sense.

But to the “party over country” crowd, well, nothing surprises me. They really don’t give a crap about America, all they care about is winning elections.

There is some debate about the extent to which Canada is a “foreign” country. [heh]

And Obama’s claim to foreign policy expertise is being taken to Indonesia as a child and living in Hawaii?

… and working in the Senate for 4 years, which works on a large variety of foreign policy matters. Governor Palin has done a great job leading her state, but I don’t think she’s worked on any foreign policy matters with Russia in the last 20 months.

[...] open the Dynasty DVDs, pour a glass of red wine, and just chill for, like, two months. Link via Kleinheider, where the comments note how Canada is actually a country (eh), whom Palin worked with directly on [...]
